Rate this book
ÔTis the Season and Escher Smallwater canÕt seem to find his Christmas spirit. HeÕs tried Christmas specials and movies, holiday decorations and songsÑlarge amounts of alcohol. Nothing seems to work, and the holiday season is looming like a dental appointment. Time is running out. As Escher stumbles through the holidays, half-stoned and unemployed, he finds himself dealing with an overdose of commercialism and the retail consumer nightmare of Christmas at the mall, rejection from the elves at MacyÕs department store, a friend who hates everything to do with the holidays, fraud and a homeless man named Moses. All this and Christmas Eve with the fam. A continuation of the novel ÒRorschachÕs RibsÓ, ÒHolidazeÓ is a short story that reunites us with Escher Smallwater and his friends Shitz, Ted and Phil as they search for a little holiday spirit with their own brand of sarcastic, social commentary.
