Matt Bialer is one of the most original voices in poetry today. Shunning the postmodern form and topics, he feeds on the off-modern to create bizarre and haunting narrative poems that unsettle and amaze us. Here, the bizarre, the weird, the strange are called upon not to amuse us, but on the contrary, to stress the human factor behind the stories - the poetry of the hidden soul.
