They say a pictures is worth a thousand words and probably this author should have used a bit more pictures rather than long descriptions that are hard to understand. But his research is good and there is a fairly good collection of photo plates. I did learn some new things. And it's hard to be completely boring given the fascinating topic of the temples and Neolithic culture of Malta!
An older book that presents a very detailed description of archaeological sites on Malta and Gozo and some hypotheses about people who lived there around 3000 - 1500 B.C. The details are in the pottery shards. Fascinating.
