Don’t tell Pastor Wade I borrowed this more than two years ago. I finally got to it this summer and I will sneak it back onto his bookshelf later this week. 😎 It was his recommendation for the book of Zechariah which I love and want to understand better. The study questions are so good and make this a book that could be used for a group.

I really appreciate his high view of the Bible and his clear exposition. His view of prophecy concerning the Jews is empty.

This is a really hard book to read. I'd hoped it would be like Dale Ralph Davis' commentaries in the same series, but sadly it isn't. There isn't much practical application and the questions don't seem to very closely relate to the passage. I only read Haggai and then gave up on the book. It may be good for Bible scholars gaining insight for preaching, but in my opinion it's not good as a personal Bible study for the average Christian.
