Simple Equations

Rate this book
This book documents Michael A. Pierce's 2004 exhibition that addressed the power of opposites. The work was derived from found photographs. The pieces were based on news photos of Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson; they are the two young men who murdered Matthew Sheppard, a gay college student, in Laramie, Wyoming in 1998. However Michael didnÕt want to return hate with more hate. He believes we each have some of Aaron and Russell in us. CanÕt you sometimes be the loving/caring friend who accepts all people and at other times be the ignorant bigot who hates? Can you see Aaron and RussellÕs light while acknowledging their darkness? ArenÕt they part of our family? Am you not their brother?
