The 9th Edition has been updated to follow the CMP International Standards, which were first included on the CMP exam in 2012. The updated CMP exam as well as the manual is now more internationally focused. In addition, the CIC Manual and the CIC International Manual were combined in the 9th Edition. The 9th Edition is also now organized to follow the 10 domains in the CMP-IS. So now, for instance, the first chapter is about "Strategic Planning," which is the first of the 10 domains.
