The bestselling software testing title is the only official textbook of the ISTQB - ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing. This revised 2nd edition covers the 2010 update to the exam syllabus. It is ideal for those with a little experience of software testing who wish to cement their knowledge with industry-recognised techniques and theory. "Succinctly and clearly written with no non-sense. An unreserved 5 for value for money" IT Training Magazine (referring to 1st edition)

Rubbish. Complete waste of money. I ended up with a copy of the syllabus and wikipedia - only then could i figure out some of the points. At the beginning of each chapter it gives a few words which you need to have an understanding of - but guess what, it doesn't give you a definition of them. Might as well save yourself the price of the book and just look at the syllabus and Wikipedia. All in all, it was a bit rubbish.
I bought this to get a more general, theoretical or technical background in software testing. I didn't realize when I did so that it was the prep book for a British certification exam. I stumbled over "organisation" and such but really did learn a fair bit. I will likely refer to this to update our in-house testing wiki and it will definitely find a permanent place on my technical book shelf.
This is the best book I found on ISTQB ISEB Foundation Certification. I recommended it to all my friends who wanted to pass the examination and all of them have the same opinion - it is a worth investment.
