Mapping the Ride is an MA Graphic Design by Project thesis, or rather exegesis, that was awarded a distinction from the University of the Arts London (UAL) in 2009. This illustrated book, focused on designing/writing motorcycle travel literature, aims to elucidate the theoretical and practical knowledge embodied in the collective design outcomes produced during this research programme. The outcomes include the production of a searchable interactive timeline charting the history of motorcycle travel literature and three motorcycle travel books. All proceeds from this book go to Riders for Health, a not-for-profit organization providing transportation for health workers in Africa Ñ www.riders.org
