They own a house and a dog - and lead a very normal life.
So why do 857,253 people feel moved to comment on their wedding pictures when they post them online?
The answer: $100 billion.
That’s the value of Connected, the website the pictures and comments were posted on. Dan created it - and it has made him one of the world's richest men. It has become the place where the world communicates.
But what happens to your own ambitions when the ordinary undergraduate you started dating turns into a billionaire?
And what happens to your marriage when your husband finds himself at the centre of a privacy scandal involving naked royals? And the paparazzi are following your every move?
Kate is about to find out.
As 'Connected' crashes, she finds that the status of a relationship can change faster than you think - and in ways you never expected.
And the person she most wants to connect with isn't there any more.
'Relationship Status' is a smart and sassy story about love, commitment and technology. It is perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Jane Green....and Wired.
This book is like the British version of Mark Zuckerberg's life, only from the wife's point of view. It starts out interesting enough, then it just goes downhill. The ending feels especially rushed; I had to look back to make sure I didn't accidentally skip a chapter or two. I want to like Kate but she is just a door mat, and she never really breaks free from that. I still have no idea if they end up separating, getting a divorce or what, but the fact that Kate seems to be giving it another go is mind boggling. Dan is so unlikeable and emotionally abusive, I just can't bother to care.
I downloaded this book for free from Amazon. Never heard of this author before, but most likely I won't read another of her book. I am left feeling unsatisfied.

Author: Amy Wilson Published: 15/11/2012 Recommended for: fans of little novellas Edition: Kindle
I found this short novella on the Kindle Store for free and so I thought that I would give it a try. I thought that it was a pretty good book to read, not very exciting or outstanding. But it is a good quick read but unfortunately in my opinion it isnt a story that you will remember for a long time. It is the perfect book for when you have a few spare moments and need to fill them with a little novella to read. It wasn't a really bad book but it most definately isn't one that I would easily remember in years to come.
DISCLAIMER: This review is by no means directed at the author it is directed at this AWFUL story!
First Point: I hate when a book is published for a KINDLE and it is not in proper format therefore in 86 point font and there is no way to make it smaller. ANNOYING. This book was absolutely ridiculous and should have never been written. Come on.. It starts out when they get millions of likes on their wedding announcement. HELLO HOW FLIPPIN STUPID!!
I can't even write this review any more because I feel that I need to calm down from finding something that should have never made it to the publishing line...
Tremendous waste of my time! If this book had been longer, I wouldn't have finished it. Do people not share their work lives with their spouses anymore? The protagonist spends much time assuming untrue things about her husband as well as having no idea about her husband's business. I realize she is a scientist, but she sure doesn't use her head. And about her husband - he's sharp enough to come up with his Internet company but not smart enough to fix the problem. Yuck!
Very modern, with timeless issues in relationships, pressure, stress, separate interests, infidelity, women who shamelessly chase your man...it's all here, with a social networking backdrop. Very modern, relevant and beautifully written. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Well this is based on a Facebook application and its founder, or rather his wife. They are very recently married and his company Connected is worth £100bn, and then it all goes wrong with a security breach. Not the best read, but also not the worst, predictable and a little boring!
