Politics in America

Rate this book
This edition features the exact same content as the traditional text in a convenient, three-hole- punched, loose-leaf version. Books a la Carte also offer a great value for your students--this format costs significantly less than a new textbook. Updated in a new 9th edition, "Politics in America "provides straightforward, descriptive coverage of American politics and government. Using the Harold Lasswell definition of politics Tom Dye employs this classic, and still resonant, interpretation as the lens through which he examines the foundations, institutions, behaviors, and policies of the American political system.

College material - mediocre textbook.
Had some good content and some content that was obviously biased and not neutral.
A very easy book to read and understand, especially compared to other college textbooks.

I had to read this book for my Politics class, and I did not enjoy this. It was not very user friendly in terms of having to read. The information was decent, but I wish it was written for those of us that do not know much about politics and helped to better explain things. I was simply not a fan, sorry.
