Do you believe in destiny? The author didn't. He had lived the American Dream as an obscure self-made millionaire. Then one mysterious night all that changed. In the space of a few short moments, he discovered a book, watched his night-club burn to the ground, was framed for attempted murder and arson, lost a fortune, and had his world shattered.
One of the best books i ever read. The book the story of 2 Orphans living at St. Aloysius Orphanage in Cincinnati. i loved less than a mile from there when I read the book. I also met Stone for lunch at the Exemplar restaurant in Mariemont, a middle class neighborhood in Cincinnati. It is a story of spirituality, synchronicity and the overall message is to never pre-judge another person because it makes one realize that everyone might be doing the best they can. The 2 Orphans eventually graduate the school, go on their separate ways only to meet again years later in California. She became a prostitute, and he didn't do much better both red heads they discover that they are actually brother and sister and never knew it. The book eventually reveals them to be the 'twin" aspects of Jesus Christ. It's a very long book , but it only took me 2 days to read it because it was so incredibly interesting.
This book picked me up with the first page and has not let me go. I find myself 'finding' time to read. The story's of the four main characters weave through my own life and questions longing for answers. It is fiction...or is it...
