I recommend this book to EVERYONE, regardless of religion or non-religion, whether you believe in God, gods, the devil, or you believe in nothing, your status in life, your personal history...whatever. We are guilty as parents to like to criticise our kids for any short comings. This book illustrates how important it is to bless and not curse our children. It is not that discipline is omitted, but just calm doling out of adverse consequences whenever bad choices are made. This replaces nagging, shouting and cursing. Blessings are given in Pregnancy, Birth, Early childhood, Puberty, Marriage and parents are also honoured.

I have started to express more love to our kids more and bless them more. A great book!

As far as deliverance books go, this book had some great pieces. I love that the biggest way families bless one another is by living out God’s design for family. It doesn’t always have to be cutting off and special prayers etc. If those things are necessary, it does provide you with a “blessing toolbox”.

I didn’t love the author’s initial approach. After the first couple chapters though, I started to find the helpful bits.
