This book is one of my favorite quilting books to come from the 1970's American quilt revival. Designs are nice, colors are bright and cheery, not the dark browns and tiny calico prints seen mostly in some other books.

Absolutely a great book for getting a feel for the 1970's quilt and patchwork aesthetic, or for flipping through as an inspiration to spark ideas (especially of you are a huge fan of 60's and 70's vintage fabrics).

Quilting methods have evolved beyond the instructions included in the book, so I wouldn't recommend it for learning to quilt.
