He is aging and is using all his resources to find eternal life. Ironically, his journey for immortality leads him to a Homeless man who believes he is a Prophet. This begins an adventure where some of mankind’s greatest ideas and values battle against power, lust and greed.

Do Clones Have Souls: Is a story of America’s newest group, Clones. They are used as free labor, soldiers, sex slaves and for organs. The Supreme Court has declared they have no rights and the religious conservatives say they are an ungodly abomination. Clint is a special kind of Clone, an Uberman, created by the Bush government, as an assassin. He was adopted in his youth by a General who raised him with his children. He was a lab rat with an address. Consequently, he had no feelings about his kills or the plight of fellow Clones. That is until he meets Sara, a Healer and Spiritualist. She is also a member of the Clone Resistance. He falls in love and begins to explore ideas. He wonders if he has a soul. Do the men who condemn Clones to their existence.

The Craving and the Cross

Good and evil is the best way to describe Herb Wright’s “The Craving and the Cross.” The story follows a homeless man obviously guided by a higher power and a very powerful but evil man that wants to have life eternal and rule the world on his terms by any means necessary.

I understood the concept of the story and the message that the author was trying to convey, but there were so many typos, missed punctuation, and other editing issues that I had a hard time really getting into the book. The errors proved a distraction. As a result, I found the story itself to be okay. It didn’t flow well, therefore did not hold my attention. I like when I read a novel for the context to grab me and hold me and really make me feel like I can see and feel what's going on. Unfortunately with issues working against this novel, it did not do that for me.

While vampire stories are really not what I read, I truly enjoyed this one. It was a different take on good versus evil. The writer gave an excellent account of how far one person would go to destroy another person. The Craving and The Cros kept my attention and I look forward to reading more from this author. RECOMMEND...
