Leuk boekje. Veel van de zienswijze van James Nottingham is ook uit zijn tedtalk(s) en yontube filmpjes te halen. Nottingham hangt mindset theorie van Caroll Dweck aan. Hij geeft hier weer zijn eigen voorbeelden van, wat verhelderend is. Leren leren staat centraal. Hoewel Nottingham wat pasklare werkwijzen beschrijft, is uit het boekje vooral visie op leren leren te halen, het fundament. Hoofdstuk over the learning challenge waarin Nottingham beschrijft hoe hij leerlingen in de Pitt, een cognitief conflict, krijgt en hier vervolgend weer laat uitkrabbelen zodat begrip groter wordt is zeer inspirerend.
