7 books10 followersCarol began writing years ago after reading a ten-page story her grandmother wrote about growing up in the early 1900s. It was then that she began to write down her own stories to share with her daughters someday.
Later, she began to write as a way to draw herself and other people closer to the Lord. Carol writes for Christians to encourage them in their faith. She also writes for those who are unaware of God's grace, to show them how to connect to Him in order to experience His love and goodness. Her writing is applicable to life with its direct, yet sensitive, and oftentimes humorous messages and lessons.
As a certified health coach and personal trainer, she is currently working on a remarkable book that will transform the way you think about health and fitness, and provide the tools to make lasting changes.
Carol has also been a speaker for Christian Women's Connection, an affiliation of Stonecroft Ministries International, for over fifteen years.

Sad
Very sad story about a man and a woman who lost a child. He was an alcoholic and she just couldn't take it anymore. He made a lot of mistakes and ended up in Jail for while and she moved on. Getting engaged to a doctor while she went to school and became a nurse. She was still married though, the divorce not final yet. I didn't get it. He came back a Christian and wanted to win her back. He loved het so much. She was his 'missing rib'. He almost dies, has a near death experience which made me cry, and he really changed his ways. I just was glad at the ending when everything came together. This is clean. No heat. And it is very religious. That doesn't bother me but just FYI. I ended up liking it.

Not your typical romance about new love. This book is about love re-established and made new through Christ. I loved this book. The characters were real with honest assumptions and forgiveness. I will diffinately be re-reading this book again and again.

This was another book club book. It was fun to read in one sense as it takes place in the town that I live in, Fredonia, NY. So many of the locations that it mentions I have been to. That is a plus for me, I read many books set in Chicago as I lived in the suburbs of Chi-town for almost 40 years and know the city very well, it just makes stories seem more real when you can picture the exact location it is taking place in. But the down side to this book for me is that it takes a pretty good story line and gets all religious. That was the author's intent, but for me personally, that is a big turn-off. I am not a believer at all and just skipped over these parts completely. I just wanted to see if the two main characters ever got back together. Thankfully this is a quick read and it didn't take too long to get an answer to my question.

The Missing Piece A Little Unbelievable
The Missing Piece an Inspirational Romance is exactly that. There are lots of personal parables to remind the reader of their need for Jesus. The storyline is sweet and interesting. Dylan and Lorraine Clark’s marriage dissolves due to Dylan’s drinking and a tragedy. Then after Dylan comes to Christ it is beautifully restored. Lots of challenges and trust issues to overcome making the story compelling. I loved the tender moments and the journey each took to finding Christ.
However, I had a hard time believing the drastic change in Dylan from alcoholic to strong man of faith in less than a year. The former alcoholics I know who came to Jesus did make remarkable strides. But Dylan’s seemed too easy. Lorraine’s willingness to become engaged before her divorce was final made her out to be the bad guy rather than the wounded wife. At first I read every word but as parable upon parable was added I skimmed over those spiritual nuggets to get back to the changing relationship storyline. Dylan’s near death experience seemed over the top. Adding one more spiritual truth the author felt the reader needed to hear.
The story at times had an unbelievable feel to me. Not because I don’t believe Jesus is in the restoring business. But alcoholism is ugly and the scars run deep for families of alcoholics. But this is a fiction and the story is meant to inspire the reader to seek the Lord and rely on Him. I believe the author accomplished that goal.

wonderfully crafted
This is a story of redemption and healing beautifully crafted. I love that it was written from the perspective of Dylan, a young man whose young wife leaves him for very good reasons. He loves her so dearly and suffers greatly without her. He lives every day with regret as he fights his inner demons and tries to find peace with himself and with God. I loved the dialog between Dylan and God, and the spiritual imagery was beautifully created. it was a nice fresh approach to a love story. it was surprising and unpredictable. I will read this author again.

The Missing Piece is a sweet love story about Daryl and Lorraine. They married young and experienced many trials common to young couples. The themes of forgiveness and redemption are woven throughout the story in a realistic way. Even though parts were predictable, it was an enjoyable story . It's hard to find good Christian fiction stories. I would read more by this author.

Read this book while in Ohio. Very inspirational about being Christ-like, loving, forgiving, and stengthening marriage. Very tender story.

I really enjoyed this one. Related to a lot of parts in it, which is what drew me to it in the first place. Inspiring too.
