To the End of the Christ's Presence in the World provides clarity to issues that Christians must face in this world. In doing so, it also provides comfort in the recognition that Christ is with his people always, to the end of the age.
Christians living in the world must deal with many challenging issues. We often face a sense of brokenness and struggle when life does not seem to be as it should. We deal with matters of life and death. We wonder about the relationship between body and soul. We wrestle with the interplay of our faith and politics. We are confronted with environmental issues and wonder how creation fits into the picture of God's plans for us. Ultimately, we are concerned about how we are to live our lives in this world in light of what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. We also often ponder just where Jesus Christ is now and what role he plays in the present world. This book uses God's Word to provide answers to these types of questions.
I am an author and writer specializing in Christian theology, history, and classical studies. I am also a pastor in The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and a member of the American Academy of Religion.
My academic studies include international relations, economics, psychology, classical history, and theology at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, Georgia), Troy University (Troy, Alabama), and Concordia Seminary (St. Louis, Missouri). I’ve also spent some time traveling internationally to places such as Russia, China, Sweden, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, among others. When I’m not writing, blogging, preaching, or working, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, hiking, and running.
I like the fact that this book covers different topics that often come up by Christians and non Christians. Each topic was covered individually and then discussed based on scripture and history. The author does a good job of explaining why Lutheran Christians believe what they do and does a good job of explaining how those beliefs are backed up.
