I knew I didn't care for romance novels, but since I had read one of Castillo's Kate Burkholder series books (mysteries), I thought I'd try "Just a Little Bit Dangerous." The story was exciting and the main characters were likable and mostly believable, but the repetition of all the hot, bothered lust got old quick. The constant talk about how wonderful Abby's mouth tasted was ridiculous. She'd been in the mountains for two days with no toothbrush. I seriously doubt her mouth tasted like some exotic fruit. The story was, for the most part, fast-paced, which increased the drama, making it hard to put down. If you can skim past all the tedious descriptions of ogling and deep, throaty kisses, it's a decent read. This is one time I believe the story would make a better movie than a book. I think I'll stick to Castillo' s other books and stay away from the romance writing.
