The watercolor illustrations in this book are endearing and beautiful. The story is simple, yet important for children: to have a dream and then, not giving up on the dream, working to make it a reality. My children love the book, and having seen the author's presentations to elementary students from kindergarten through fourth grade, all children love the book! From the first page to the end, children are engaged in the story, cheering when Max's dream comes true and giggling when they see Max's little footprints on the moon.
