This board book is well constructed, made of durable pages and tabs that will hold up to many rounds of hide-and-seek. The text, however, is lacking in quality and is slightly wordy for the intended age group. Ending this game of hide-and-seek with a birthday party is a surprise that may or may not be confusing to readers. Still, the colorful digital illustrations are eye-catching, and the moveable parts of the book are well done, ensuring entertainment for the smallest readers and listeners. This board book is appropriate for ages 0-4.
