Bizarre. I cannot imagine the intended audience. I cannot believe that they had smut of this nature back in 1993! This is really vividly described - clit, "whanger," scrotum - but in a very unappealing way. The women's dialogue during the deed is like the worst porn you can imagine. I got this from the little free library and it is going right back. There are like 4 plots in this:
Spur McCoy has to rescue the kidnapped Penny Spur arrives in this rural Texas town to be IMMEDIATELY propositioned by a ravenously horny divorced bank teller. Spur is helping his old friend the Sheriff deal with getting old Penny's dad's ranch is constantly under threat from a rival rancher, seriously, they stop hunting for their KIDNAPPED DAUGHTER like no less than four times because the evil other rancher is cattle rustling, shooting out windows, etc. etc.
This was an interesting read because I feel like it was written almost entirely without an inner monologue from anybody. Spur thinks nothing about anything of these women, he just beds them. Penny feels nothing about being sexually assaulted, no one has any thoughts at all. Everything is written as either steps of action or a character's speech, the occasional description of the environment.
I don't even know what to give this. It was intriguing as a piece of history, something unique, but I can't say I enjoyed reading it.
