I read this around 1992 because I really didn't understand the nature or function of the conscience. What does the passage in the book of Hebrews about our 'conscience' being purified by the blood of Christ mean? I was a young Christian at the time. This book was very helpful to me. He is a wonderful writer and has a pastoral heart. It is definitely worth reading on the subject.
