I was surprised that I enjoyed this one when I read it for school as a teenager--I had cringed at many of the preachy comics in the PACE curriculum but the books were somewhat better since they had better storylines. Kind of reminds me of Adventures in Odyssey a little bit.
Fun camp story with many lessons. Some of the musings of the young character telling the story seemed to have more wisdom in his thoughts and comments than his age 10.
Okay, this book is fun! I've read it quite a few times, and reread it with my younger brother. It has a good storyline. I love where the story takes place (mostly at a retreat called Camp Friendship in the mountains), and there are some good characters. I read this book in about a day the first time around, and then reread it for school. It's a good read for 8-11 year olds. Fun and exciting!
