This is clearly a textbook, but for a textbook it's relatively easy to read. I read it with a pen in my hand and I'm glad that I did because the act of underlining kept me engaged in the text. I think it gives a really good overview of what it's like to be in management for a theatre (this covers everything from stage managers to managing artistic directors, so it's pretty broad) and is a really good starting place for anybody who thinks they'll be in a managing position. (Even someone like a shop foreman would benefit from this book.)
