It’s cute. I felt like it had a lot more words and substance than some board books which I enjoyed. Mac and Millie dress up in creative clothes. Millie is a fairy, Max is a builder. I’ve seen some comments about gender stereotypes, probably relating to the fairy and builder. Maybe also to the fact that the girl wears tights and the boy wears socks? Not sure. I liked that the parent in the book is the dad. He is the one helping them get ready.
This book is a great primer for teaching your children to get dressed whilst also incorporating dressing up, counting and weather. There is a sweet ending where the children incorporate their favourite dress up items with their daily outfit.
