The Heart of a Man

Rate this book
Money wasn't the answer, as far as Dustin Fairfax was concerned—not unless you could use it to help others. Of course, there was the little matter of his trust fund to contend with—who would have thought his late father would demand he be “made over” before he could receive it?

It was the biggest challenge of personal-image consultant Isobel Buckley's career—turn a flower shop owner into a polished, urbane man. Image was everything, after all, particularly to this high-strung beauty. Her new client's carefree life was certainly not the “in” thing, but the kind heart beneath his pinstripes might just convince her that love was back in style.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I have never read any Love Inspired books so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a cute little romance story, not overly dramatic and mushy, which I like. It's about Isobel, whose job is a fashion consultant. Generally she works with models and business people that already dress well, so her friend challenges her to makeover an ordinary, everyday type of guy. I enjoyed it and it was a bit of a page turner toward the end!

Great story.

Isobel is hired by Dustin's brother to give him a "make-over".

Over the six weeks she sees that Dustin is not as he appears.

He has a more active life then his brother knows about but he keeps to himself the things he does for God.

It was all about changing appearances when he heart was already pure and serving the Lord.

When personal image consultant Isobel Buckley takes on her biggest challenge ever--to make over Dustin Fairfax--she soon finds herself falling for the finished "product." Can Isobel trust God enough to let him stir up her pleasant life with a dream come true? Original.
