Though not quite as eventful as others in the first arc of the series, and perhaps focused more on strange adventure than the world-building and exploration of post-apocalyptic cultures that the series excels at at its best, this is a solid Endworld adventure that fans of the series should seek out - especially those who love its central character, Alpha Triad member Geronimo.

I hope book #5 was just a hiccup in this serious, because it just didn't measure up to the first four. It was more like a Road Warrior soap opera. Something like "As The World Burns" or "Days Of Our Apocalypse." There was just to much talk of marriage of Blade and his fellow warrior, Hickock. Even Geronimo, another warrior who goes out into the dead zone to clear his mind ends up falling in love. Not much action. To much talk. It also seem to be just getting book #6 set up. Hope that one is better.

Another in the series that I had not read when I was young...

More of the same sexist, passively racist writing the series has kept to so far. This one was possibly even more predictable than the earlier volumes and had a couple of solutions that were so easy that they could only be chalked up to poor writing.

Honestly, though, still a page turner. I can't help it, the series keeps me reading - even if there really aren't more than two or three dramatic notes that keep being hit over and over.

Another post-apocalyptic adventure series. Quick and easy read. Recommended
