Luke Reynolds' passion for his career and his students is obvious throughout A Call to Creativity, and I appreciated that he included an appendix with the assignments he discussed. The larger projects, like the novella and class anthology, were the most interesting to me and definitely demand further consideration.
Four Stars: This book was really really good and I'll definitely recommend it to people with relevant interests.
I received a copy of this book through a goodreads giveaway. I found the book to be very useful, and appreciated the samples available in the book as some are ones I would definitely use in my own classroom. I enjoyed how he was willing to describe for the reader his own experiences to help them know that it's alright to struggle with the same questions. I also enjoyed the guiding questions provided at the end of each chapter, some were very thought provoking and asked you to put yourself in certain situations to help become a better teacher.
