The author of Are You Lonesome Tonight? describes the efforts of a group of high-school students from a small midwestern town who took it upon themselves to transform the improper behavior that was ruining their school by developing the first ever character education program that allowed students to effectively alleviate reprehensible behavior.
Great story of teens making good changes in behavior on their school campus. Formerly a rowdy, party school that destroyed property every year, some students get fed up with the immaturity and make changes "grassroots-style". Great story! See teens you can make a difference too.
I found this book interesting only because I am a current student at the high school described in the book. I thought that it was boring at times and hard to read. If you are looking for a little history on Mundelein High School then this is perfect for you.
