It hasn't been all awful; we've met a new character, Damian's mother, and had a serendipitous encounter with York. The kidnapping of the bus is the finest. Great Anya with her ideas and reading the kidnappers' thoughts was fun

Wow, that was brutal.

I see now why Melinda felt so creepy. I wonder if it's a regular case of pregnancy-related hatred, forced to stay with her husband because of the kid, or a feeling of losing control of her own life that made her hate Damian. Her dual feelings are scary and the more we learn of the Desmonds, the more I want to protect Damian.
I do wish we'd seen more of a reaction from Yor, Loid, and Anya, and a lasting impact especially on the kid.
And lastly, Plan B is officially underway. I don't think Anya is about to realize anytime soon that even if she got invited to Damian's house, it's not going to do her any good. But at least, they're officially friends now.
This volume was scary and it really displayed the brutality of this world.

This is a review of the build of the 'First Brush' Limited Edition released by Tong Li Comics.

I haven't seen or checked the Japanese release, but this book feels like one, based on my experience with Japanese manga volumes or tankobons. It has the bonus content behind the dust jacket, and a couple of colored pages. Why can't the Viz editions be more like this?

Since this is a limited edition, it even has a bunch of prints packaged with it. Nice looking prints with some embossing and a glossy finish.

Regarding the story, my review will be with Viz edition. However, this is a good one. The bus hijack arc is collected in its entirety here. The arc is a great story with high stakes.

The previous cover of this volume was so precious I'm kind of sad that it's not that anymore, but I'm not mad that the it has now Emile and Ewen on, they need to be in the spotlight too.

Bruh, I had been skeptical, if not disillusioned by this episodic series. I hate not knowing where we're going, or if we're planning on going anywhere. But, this volume? This was a WINNER. Got me right back into being invested in these characters and their relationships. There were moments I was laughing, moments where I was tearing up, and some where I was squealing and pumping my fangirl fist in the air. This is exactly what I love about Spy x Family. I'm glad to be reinvigorated with the series.

Auf einem Schulausflug ins Berlint Museum wird der Bus mit den Schülern der Eden Akademie entführt.
Anya Forger - natürlich wie immer super witzig - versucht nach wie vor ihren Mitschüler Damian Desmond als Freund zu gewinnen, um so Papa Loid Forger zu helfen, an dessen Vater Donovan Desmond zu kommen. Selbst in dieser brenzligen Situation bewahrt sie ihren Humor.

Wie schon die vorherigen Bände ist Band 11 super kurzweilig und voller Spannung und Witz. Eine bisschen drüber manchmal, vor allem Yuri ist mir einfach "zu viel", aber das ist einfach sein Charakter.

Die gesamte Reihe bleibt eine ganz große Empfehlung von mir!

i love how this is a nice combination of comedy and politics, and that's what makes this unique and gripping, unlike other mangas. && anya is definitely the one who always lifts up the mood of the manga contrastingly to how serious the current situations are

El otro día fui a mi librería favorita, y cuando vi el nuevo tomo de Spy x Family disponible, naturalmente no pude resistirme a comprarlo. Como suele suceder, la espera de meses fue recompensada con una lectura fanática que me tomó unos tres días. La saga de Anya continúa fuerte y cómica. Hacia el final, hay un suceso que añade mucha intriga a un personaje. No voy a decir nada más, sería spoiler.

The series goes in a very unexpected direction - contained within this volume but with tantalizing hints about secrets about the past, the relationships of several characters. And it is fantastic, the balance between more serious while the humour is still there and even more natural even when it is over the top...

(I read an interview where Endo complains he is not writing what he wants to write, and feels somewhat disconnected from his characters and that was really surprising relatively to these more recent stories, because they feel so layered....)

I am in fangirl mode now, sorry but not sorry except I am getting a bit neurotic because the binge (kind of) must end soon - there is not much more to read, translated or even not!

I need to watch Season 2 of Spy X Family at some point, but I’m not really wanting to watch all the animes alongside what mangas I’m reading to mix things up a bit.
This volume was intense and gripping with a school-bus hijacking. But am rating it 3.6 Stars overall, because the first chapter centred around Yor’s brother, Yuri, and I despise that character lol! Also wtf is up with Damien’s Mother at the end there!? Is that a second character I’m going to despise? It’s a shame because I rated the first season of the anime a 10, but I think my rating for Season 2 and maybe the manga series as a whole will be lower than that:( you never know though! Still enjoyable:)

Anaya is so dumb which makes everything so much funnier!! And Yuri was extra neurotic. But Damian’s mom at the end, literally the last panel, stole the show. Wow!!! Where is this story going?!? I need the next volume now!!!

Loid handles a jealous boss at work and Yor's jealous brother at home before the rest of the book is given over to one of the Forger family members getting caught up in a hostage situation.

It bops along with the same level of fun and action as always, but that last page really came out of nowhere and caught me by surprise . . . WTF?!?!

I really need a six star option because I feel like good manga like this deserve five stars, but it wasn't a favorite like Frieren or Fragrant Flower. BUT the fact that I had to read it after the anime, and that it's not quite easy for me to read in Japanese while sick, well...that means it was good! Anya is hilarious. I love how creative this spy story is.
