This book of Hanukkah poems is a great start to short poetry readers. It explores Judaism's culture with the Festival of Lights, and helps explain the story of Hanukkah. I would recommend this book to any grade level during the holidays, especially with the short poems that could easily be shared and read aloud in class.

I read "First Candle" in this book. It was short and simple and kind of weird. It has chalk drawings for illustrations.
