Warren St. John is a former reporter for the The New York Times. He also has written extensively for The New Yorker, the New York Observer, and "Wired." He attended Columbia University and now lives in New York City.

I devoured this book - tried to pace myself and enjoy but couldn’t help but hurry through it. I think the author did a nice job personalizing the political, historical, and often painful components of international migration through the story of teenage soccer teams comprised of new Americans. I am very inspired by coach Luma and the soccer teams she coaches.
