This book written by the CEO of Idea Couture is a quick, light, introductive guidebook for beginners. It touches as many subjects as possible, but doesn't explain or go deep into any of them.

Review #18 of my 52 week book challenge: 60 Minute Brand Strategist
Why can't we write all business books like this?
More graphic novel than text-heavy tome, Mootee walks through a history of brand strategy over the past 100 years. Citing cases from the world's best known brands, he quantifies the how to success in an unforgettable qualitative way. While some is common sense for brand strategists, a nice swift kick never hurts to get us back in line.

Published in a beautiful way, covers important matters concerning brands and has a lot of useful examples. You will find there summaries, frameworks, useful assessment & audit questions that give you reason to have it on shelf. However it is hard to treat it like a regular book. Chapters are not connected smoothly, topics varies in the level of the reader's experienced required and there are many chaotic or soon to be outdated fragments.
This is a very short read (it does finish in 60 mins or less) however it works as a great introduction to the branding world. I would have loved that it talked more about some concepts (the brand creation process at the end) and less about others (the luxury branding chapter feels out of place). Overall, a good read.
Quick and easy to catch on most of the topics, it gives a general view of marketing. A lot of graphics and examples makes this title a bit different from all marketing books available on the market. Nonetheless some concept are quiet confusing and “up-in-the-air”. A lot of theory mixed with semiotic that the author try to bring to the real life but not too successfully
A thoughtful, in-depth, and accessible intro to a fascinating line of work. Beautiful type and design helps the non-fiction go down easier. (If you are a true beginner, like me, this was longer than the advertised 60-minute-read. Aim to carve out at least 2.5 hours if you want to process everything — which you'll definitely want to.)
A nice refresher for those in the industry and a nice introduction for newbies; lots of visuals and anecdotes for understanding branding. If you're in the marketing industry and looking for deep insights, look for another book though.
this book is very good for refreshing the branding basics. there are quite a number of frameworks/ tools there that are pretty handy if you are in ad/ media/ digital business.
There is nothing essential about this book, trying to make a lot off short cuts and touching on as many subjects as possible, but not really explaining anything really wel
