When Serena's favourite breakfast café suddenly gets an influx of customers, she's forced to share a table with a stranger, which is exactly the opposite of how she likes her mornings. Bear shifter Maize doesn't mind the extra people at Bearly Breakfast Time, especially when it gives her the opportunity to get to know a pretty stranger. A series of coincidental breakfast dates leads to more, but exactly how much more? That's a question only the Crescent Lake of fate can answer. **** Her Breakfast Bear Mate is a fated mates paranormal romance featuring a bear shifter and her mate. It includes a standalone f/f meet-cute romance and a dash of steamy goodness. It is part of the Crescent Lake Bears series.

Bear shifter Maize and Bear kin Serena cross paths at Bearly Breakfast Time when their love for the cafe's fare forces them to share a table. With the cafe experiencing an increase in patronage (due to a social media post going viral) they find themselves sharing a table a few times. Maize and Serena learn about each other while eating breakfast - a meal they both enjoy. Smoked salmon, poached egg, avocado toast for one and a cheese toastie for the other. Yum!! Eventually Maize shows Serena her bear and realizes the possibility of Serena being her mate. I liked Tape's storyline with a slow attraction building to more through tentative conversation. They both feel the pull of the mating ritual. Flirting, humor, dating and heat combine for a sweet addition to the series.
A very low stakes romance where the characters have lots of check in with one another. I loved all the communication and the throwback to the characters from the first book.
The only thing I wished was that the fated mates stuff was less important. I would love to see characters choose one another despite this whole goddess fated mate business.
This is book two of the Crescent Lake Bears series and the main characters are Serena, bear kin and call centre worker, and Maize, a bear shifter and furniture restorer and maker. They both love eating breakfast at Bearly Breakfast Time café, but while they might have noticed each other before, they had never spoken. Each preferred their own favourite table and Serena in particular, liked to have the peace and isolation of her own table as a respite before she faced going into a work place she hated. When the café suddenly goes viral on some happening list online, the place is inundated with new customers, who are loud and flashing their phones everywhere. Neither of them can sit at their normal table and Maize asks Serena if she can sit at her table near the back, as it is the only seat left. She doesn’t mind, but feels off trying to start eating until Maize gets her breakfast. The two find this situation continues for a couple of weeks and they keep sitting together and start talking to each other. They find an attraction to each other and find they can talk about just about anything.
They eventually sort out going on a date together, a very cold picnic in the park, where Maize reveals her bear to Serena, which seems to bring them even closer together. They talk about the pressure for shifters to find their true mate, even talking about whether they should put that pressure onto a relationship, either at the start, or even when it becomes more serious. Their friendship becomes romantic and Maize has felt the need to bite Serena for ages now, ever since she took her bear form at the picnic. The Crescent Lake is in their near future and will show whether the owner of the café was right about them all along! Another great romance between two unlikely characters, working such different jobs and even having such different upbringings and knowledge of bear shifters, as Maize never knew she was a shifter until she shifted for the first ever time. Both had a bear shifter for a father, but Maize never knew hers. The crescent moon ritual will either bring them even closer or push them apart, but that is unlikely with this pair! Great short reads with romance and shifters. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above
In a way I'm a hopeless romantic. I've just also given up on finding love myself. I think fate has been cruel to me. I might have missed meeting my mate because of my chronic illness. Or maybe we did meet and he thought "never mind". However, I like reading about fated mates. I was therefore happy when BookSprout notified me that this arc was available.
What I loved about this book is that it starts with what seems to be a coincidence. Basically the two heroines of the story are forced to spend time together, even though they've been having breakfast in the same place for MONTHS already. I like the thought that someone or something is looking out for us and nudging us in the right direction if we don't find it ourselves.
I also really liked how naturally and slowly their relationship was developing. They communicated about every step and were willing to fight their own urges if the other believed they were going too fast. They also spent quite some time talking and forming a connection. They start with basic questions, but sooner they become deeper and more meaningful.
And it's because of all the talking and the communicating and the getting to know each other that it's easy to believe that these people are fated to share a future. Maybe they don't agree on everything from the start, but they listen to each other, they trust each other and they try to understand each other's dreams. And therefore their love, although fated, felt really realistic.
In Arizona Tape, Her Breakfast Bear Mate, bearkin Serena is having breakfast at her favorite breakfast café, Bearly Breakfast Time, when they suddenly gets an influx of customers thanks to a blog post and she's forced to share a table with a stranger which she isn’t too happy about because she doesn’t really like breaking her normal mornings routine. Bear shifter Maize doesn't mind the extra people at Bearly Breakfast Time because it gives her the chance to get to know the pretty stranger that she’s been seeing twice a week for months. As the hype increase and their favorite breakfast café is starting to grow Maize and Serena gets closer over their breakfast meals. Eventually they take their relationship to the next step to the point where it’s time for them to make a trip to Crescent Lake so that fate can answer whether they’re fated mates or not. Serena likes a quiet breakfast so when she goes to bearly café Mazie is seated with her she isn’t happy at least not the first time can this unexpected companion be her forever mate? Thanks to Arizona Tatee I have immerse myself in the Shapeshifting genre and have never regretted that I just wish there was more Shapeshifting in her books but even if there never is I love her sweet simple romance is there quick reads that come in handy when I don’t have time Poor a full story but want that feeling that only a good romance can give you they’re quick and fun to read their books I highly recommend. Please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

Our heroines may not have been looking to share a table, but if the sparks flying here are any indication, they might be sharing a lot more than just that.
This book is part of a series, but it is written as a standalone. Start at any point.
This is an urban fantasy story with a FF romance and shifters. The story is well written and easy to read with an intriguing setting. The setting is well developed and it is fun getting to explore it a bit. The characters are great and I love both of our heroines. They have great chemistry and I really enjoyed watching them work through their initial reluctance. Overall. a fun story and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Highly recommended.

Serena likes things set in a routine. She takes a bus and has breakfast at the local coffee shop not far from her work. She always has the same two things. Maize is a bear shifter who is more relaxed. She's also a vegetarian. They meet when they both are at the coffee shop and it has become viral. So they share a table. This goes on for awhile. Then slowly they come to meeting and then dating. Now the ultimate test...the crescent moon ritual. Beautiful story of two people who aren't looking for anything but may have found it.

This was so cute! After their favourite breakfast café becomes a viral sensation, two regulars are forced to share a table and get to know each other, and the pattern continues to repeat over a couple of months until they work up the courage to go out on an official date. They were adorably awkward, then eager with each other and this has all the connection and happy butterflies you need in a feel-good story. Even their communication was somehow endearing. It can definitely be read as a standalone, though the MCs from the previous book do make an appearance.
This is the second book in this series. A beautifully written short and sweet paranormal romance about finding your Fated Mate during the Crescent Lake ceremonial event. This tells the story about Serena and Maize. Will they be each other's Fated Mate? Read it yourself to find out. This series has a cozy and friendly atmosphere, with very steamy moments and I really loved this one again.

Another fun read in the Crescent Lake Shifters series. This one features a bear shifter finding her mate. Maize and Serena have seen each other around at their local cafe but it wasn't until they had to share a table that they finally met. One of the things I liked about this book is they got to know each other before jumping into bed. This book was a nice relaxing read that I was able to finish in one sitting.

Maize and Serena end up sharing a table at the local coffee shop when they have a major rush of customers. After meeting like this over a few weeks, they decide to take it a little further and the sparks fly. These two characters are terrific for each other. Their personalities, strengths and determination match so well. Fun, sweet romantic story all the way to the ending.

Breakfast has been a special time for a young lady, but when she has to share her table with another young woman she is not so sure about being able to enjoy this special time of the day. One is bearkin, the other Bear Shifter. They are both Un mated and single. This beautiful story highlights their budding relationship. There is comedy, compelling romance scenes and a HEA. The Cresent Moon theme series is great,.

Maize and Serena are forced to share a table at the cafe called Bearly Breakfast Time but end up sharing a lot more than that once they get to know each other. I loved the story, the skimpy dipping and the whole universe that ties these books together. Cute story.

First of all, I want to say that I absolutely love the first two lines. Secondly, this was so cute! I know I say this about all of these books but it's true! This one in particular gave me cozy vibes, especially with the picnic scene. I feel as though this book is perfect for fall and I highly recommend it!

Maize and Serena are absolutely adorable. Especially the descriptions of how mornings are (can totally relate). As their morning dates continue, their discussions start to build their relationship. I so enjoy when the MCs have serious discussions as it shows that a relationship, even with a fated mate, doesn’t just magically become perfect.
Fresh and fun. One of the things about series with similar themes is they can get really repetitive. However, this isn't the case with this book. Rather, the banter is perfect and I immediately fell for the characters. Love it. I also felt a kinship with some of their quirks and fully agree, avocado does taste like beauty products. Two thumbs up.
I really sweet quick read, I devoured this book in two days. I love the characters and the bears are so sweet and funny. I would definitely recommend this book and series. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

Discovered this was the perfect book to help while away the time as I did laundry. This is the 2nd book I've read in the series and just love how the characters have been developed.

The second book in the Crescent Lake Bears series. Bear shifter Maize and Serena’s F/F story is well written story that held my interest. I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Due to an influx of customers at the breakfast cafe, Serena and Maize end up sharing a table. That was the start of their breakfasts together. A friendship bloomed and breakfast turned into dating and possibly more. I loved this story.
This starts out with Serena and Maize having to share a table because their breakfast place is overrun with customers. I loved the rapport between them and watching them fall in love. A real good read.
