The interactive nature of the book and the repetition makes this an engaging book for children. My son did struggle to focus on the story because of the flaps, but that’s just him! My daughter loved this book and glad my son enjoyed it too.

This book is very cute and touches on a child's imagination. My favorite part of the book was when the little boy fed the hungry giant 15 galloons of chocolate milk. This would be a funny read aloud to kids, maybe right before lunch as they are all hungry at that time.

My grandson's favorite was when we read "How Do You Feed A HUNGRY GIANT?" that was a pop-up book. And I have to agree as pop-up books were my favorites growing up too. This was even better when the giant stood up 3 times taller than the book. Pretty impressive. There is also a lil recipe book inside so you can also help feed the giant or your hoard of kiddos. We tried out the Jumbo Fries (aka sweet potato fries) but we changed out the curry for cinnamon. The kids loved them while at the same time sweet potatoes are abundant at this time of year. It was also easy to explain to the kiddos using the book how important it is to help others out.

How Do You Feed A Hungry Giant is a large pop-up and lift a flap book. I liked this book. The story line, illustrations and activities were fun. I shared it with my five year old niece who loved opening the little flaps and extras. I found a larger story inside this book as we need to be aware to the "Giant" called hunger and help to feed it. Even one person can make a difference.

My only concern is for durability as with the first reading my niece split one of the lift a flap layers with her finger nail in effort to open it. A tab for the lift a flaps would have been helpful.

Now this is fun and funny. Oh what little kiddos will do when unsupervised. At least his heart is in the right place. I have always liked pull-the-tab and lift-the-flap books. Now I am excited to have this one to share with my daughter. She is already amused and shouts "let me do it!" to make the giant grow. All in all, you gotta love a book that understands the importance of a mama. *wink*

I was so excited to win a copy from First Reads! Such a fun interactive book. The story is cute as are the illustrations. The pull tabs and flaps were entertaining - especially the sipping through a straw! And the recipe book that is included is sure to be a hit with my son who will be getting this book in his stocking this year.

What an adorable little tale! I found the quips from the dog to be especially entertaining. I can't wait to share this with the little ones in my life.
