Brett Wallace, the American Ninja they call Daremo, tries to forget his bloodstained past and the hundreds of people who died at his hands. But his allies scattered across the world feel the threads of a new danger tightening around them. Once again, it's time for Daremo to face the flashing blades of the world's deadliest killers--as the Ninja Master.
A fast-paced thriller from the 1980s, golden age of ninja fiction. I wasn't too excited about any of the characters, but the action and plot were straight out of the best ninja films of the era. I liked the gritty, violent world Barker created, featuring an ancient feud of honor between rival ninja clans, brought into the futuristic world of 1980s Los Angeles, where compact discs become deadly weapons in the hands of the ninja masters. "The Kohga Ritual" is a worthy addition to any ninjologist's collection.
