A Western psychologist's perspective on the ninja archetype. Not a book by a ninjutsu practitioner. Has some interesting analysis of some of the classic 1980s ninja movies. Peterson takes a Jungian perspective, that the ninja represents the repressed "shadow" of our daytime selves, and this is why it is so fascinating. An enjoyable read for the intellectual ninja enthusiast or dark psychologist.
