Great read. The introductory essay is a bit long, spoils the book, but I had already seen a movie adaptation so knew how it ended. While the passing aspect strikes me, a white man, as less relevant the reflections on marriage and race in general are still just as pointed as when they were written.
Something I'm glad to have read, but would probably have a lot more to say if I had read with a book group or as part of a class. Mainly, it's so impressive to me how much can be discussed from a 200 page novella.
