Linda Varner has seen every level of her cylindrical world, and learned many things. Now that world has been plunged into absolute darkness. She must learn how to survive without light. First she must find food and water, then locate her father and friends. If she can do all that, maybe she can save her world.
This series of books has been a bit uneven in places. There has been a storyline that makes sense which does wrap up most character plots instead of just letting it be a question. It was also left with an opening for another book or a new series with Linda or any of the other main characters. There were typos and a few edits that should have happened but overall I looked forward to each book.
These 4 have been my least favorite of the wool/silo universe. The story is good, but the writing is just ok. It’s very readable, but seems like something that would be stellar in a high school creative writing class.
This one had more of a rushed feel than the other three. There were grammatical mistakes, word/spelling errors, and odd turns of phrase that could be corrected by light editing. That being said, I enjoyed the story and the different take on the Silo universe.
