David Baron (1857 – 1926) was a Jewish convert to the Christian faith. He was a leader in the Hebrew Christian movements of the Haskalah (Jewish Enlightenment) period in Europe.

If you are not familiar with David Baron here is a short bio: David Baron was born in 1855 to Jewish Russian parents. A near-death experience during childhood on the farm caused him to give much thought to life after death and how to get right with God. After having learned Hebrew and Talmud in Yeshiva, he immigrated to Hull, England, where he received a New-Testament. Praying on his knees he accepted the One he had been taught to reject, Yeshua HaMashiach. After having worked with missions to Jews, he founded, together with Adolph Saphir's brother-in-law - Mr. Schoenberger, the Hebrew Christian Testimony to Israel in 1893. Was personally acquainted with many known Jews, such as the Rabbi Lichtenstein of Hungary (who was also a disciple of Jesus).

D. Baron’s writings are very profitable and thoroughly Biblical in every sense. In this little book D. Baron exposits the 80th Psalm, in the middle of his exposition he relates some aspects of church history from the writings of Johann von Döllinger (February 28, 1799 – January 14, 1890 a German theologian, Catholic priest and church historian who rejected the dogma of papal infallibility. He is considered an important contributor to the doctrine, growth and development of the Old Catholic Church, though he himself never joined that denomination.). Aspects that are rarely discussed and very disturbing but also make for some fascinating reading, although it will touch a nerve and cause one to feel great shame over the monstrous acts committed in the name of Christ.

Avery short book of 133 pages, worth reading.
