Another lovely story in the Return to Dry Creek series from Janet Tronstad. This time it's youngest Stone brother Tyler's story, along with Angelina, the girl he used to be a bodyguard for. The romance is sweet, and I always love meeting up with old friends from the previous Dry Creek books. I especially loved seeing Sheriff Carl Wall in this one. An enjoyable read!

Disclaimer: I am not a Christian, but that will not prevent me from reading and enjoying. I got this book to review for the Goodreads' first read's Giveaway. This book was sent to me free of charge by the publisher Harlequin: Love Inspired to review. This fact does not sway my personal opinion of this book. I will state my honest opinion/constructive criticism in this review, positive and/or negative.

Back-cover:Marry a secure businessman, or become a bunkhouse cook for twenty hungry cowboys on a cattle ranch? When Angelina Brighton chooses the ranch, she runs from the wedding her billionaire father arranged. Angelina won't marry a man she doesn't love. Then along comes former special ops soldier Tyler Stone, barreling into Dry Creek to bring her back home. Or so she thinks. But Big Sky country is full of surprises for everyone--especially for a faithful gal and rugged cowboy who discover what home "really" means.

Over-all Thoughts: It was okay. It was a sweet little love story about family and forgiveness. The one thing I seriously disliked is the way the author handled the atheist's conversion. It left me feeling bitter.

What I liked: It was a sugary sweet love story about forgiveness and how people change. I could deal with the religious themes, and it was cute seeing devotion in the heroine.

What I Hated: Tyler's conversion. I have read some books with conversions in it The Stand by Stephen King is an example, but it didn't come off forced or judgmental. Angelina whined the whole entire time how she wanted to marry a Christian man, but the man she loved never wanted to be a Christian. The other people in town were also hassling him on conversion. It left me feeling bitter because of my own experiences with Christians like this, that if you don't convert they will leave you. Of course in the last chapter Tyler converted right at the end of the book, and planned to marry Angelina as soon as possible. It was selfish of Angelina to almost demand and expect it from Tyler. It's cool that she wanted a Christian man, but it's manipulative to expect someone to convert for you. If you love someone you should love them regardless if they are Christian or not.

Rating: 3 stars out of 5. I feel this review was pretty generous, given my rant above.

Recommend it? Maybe.

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday-returning to one of my favorite places-Dry Creek!!!I like how the minute I opened this book my mind goes straight here.
Former rich girl,Angelina Brighton has left Boston to be the relief cook for ranchhands at Elkton Ranch, plus does not want to marry her father's lawyer as is being planned.
Returning to Dry Creek is Tyler Stone who was injured in the war,and is hired again by Angelina's father to bring her back to Boston. This is not an easy assignment since she is now an adult woman and not the high school girl he was the bodyguard for years ago.
A special "party" is planned for Tyler, but his appearance changes the theme or purpose of the entire celebration. The main decoration which turns out to be pink is something that will be talked about for years for many reasons(you need to read the book to find out what and why!).
Old feelings seem to surface when neither Tyler or Angelina need them, and they aren't sure how they will be allowed to grow or if their lives are on different paths.
Angelina does return to Boston but for a much different reason-will she stay there? Will she ever return to Dry Creek? What happens to Tyler Stone? All of these questions are answered in ways that make this another special "return" to Dry Creek.
Thank you,Janet Tronstad for allowing me to read your latest book, and now I will place it on my JT bookshelf which I am happy to say is quite a nice selection and display.

Liked the book. It was a "gentle" romance, as the Love Inspired line is, so not my usual fare. I really liked Angelina. She had grown up and changed from the spoiled, flighty girl Tyler had known before. She had come to Dry Creek to avoid the wedding her father had tried to arrange, and because Tyler had talked about it when she knew him before. Tyler had come home to bring Angelina back to her father. He didn't know that his mother and brothers were back, and that they hadn't been told he was actually alive after being wrongly listed as killed in action. Everyone, including Angelina, got quite a surprise, but were very happy to have him home. I loved the way that Angelina became so much a part of the town. It was hard for Tyler to believe that she had changed that much. He also still felt that he wasn't good enough for her, but she was doing her best to change his mind. I liked the way they dealt with her father when he came, and how she reconciled with him. The book had a very satisfying ending.

Angelina Brighton is running from a loveless marriage that her billionaire father has arranged. Tyler Stone is the man that she thinks is to bring her home. In this third book of the Return to Dry Creek series, Tyler is coming to terms with the life he left behind in Dry Creek.

I enjoyed this story as I do all Janet Tronstad's books. I was looking forward to reading about the third Stone brother, and Janet did not disappoint. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a good romance mixed with faith. I also enjoyed the humor interspersed throughout the book. I found myself chuckling out loud and unabashedly. If you haven't read the other two books in the series, you might want to read those as well to catch up on all the characters; however if you haven't read them, Janet catches you up on all of the pertinent characters. Kudos to Janet for another wonderful read!

I really enjoyed this story of Tyler and Angelina. He had been her bodyguard while she was in High School, and they had developed a strong friendship at that time.

When Tyler returns from serving in the war, everyone thought that he had passed away, and were holding a Memorial Service for him.
He was humbled by their devotion and friendship for him.

Tyler and Angelina know they have strong feelings for each other, but move slowly towards building their relationship.
Angelina also understood her father more, and realized what he wanted for her.
This is a story of small town living, forgiveness, and having faith in God.

Thank you Janet for sending me a copy of this book, I love visting the families in Dry Creek! =)

Dry Creek, Montana, although a fictional place, feels so real because of the writing talents of Janet Tronstad. It is the sort of small town most people would be delighted to call home, and the characters that live there are very endearing. This is the third book in the Return to Dry Creek series, and it would probably be helpful to read the other two, Sleigh Bells for Dry Creek and Lilac Wedding in Dry Creek, to have some background for this one, but it isn't absolutely necessary. This is Tyler Stone's story, and it not only includes secrets and revelations, but clean romance and spiritual growth as well. I highly recommend this as an excellent book!

Angelina Brighton, an heiress to the Brighton Security inheritance, has run away to Dry Creek, Montana, to avoid marrying her father’s lawyer, Derrick Carlson. Mr. Brighton has been pressing for his daughter to marry him, even to the point of buying her wedding gown. We find her working in Dry Creek as a ranch cook, arranging for Tyler Stone’s funeral and loving it.

Tyler Stone, originally from Dry Creek, worked for Brighton Security as a security guard to protect Angelina while she was in high school. Upon her graduation, he signed up for a Special Ops tour in Afghanistan and was subsequently declared deceased. He’s anything but, and he’s back in Dry Creek to return Angelina back to Boston for her wedding, as he’s once again working for Brighton Security.

His arrival connection with Angelina is filled with her speed and gusto, and sets the stage for a ‘less-than-a-funeral’ service that she won’t cancel. The sobering end of the scenario is his family’s past and the supposed rumors and family dysfunction. Would anyone be there for his ‘funeral’?

This is my first book by Janet, and I totally enjoyed the flirty romantic sparks that floated between Tyler and Angelina. Their history seemed to be on a collision course, however, when Tyler got to thinking of his past and her father. His brothers’ involvement was touching and real, but a bit much for Tyler. The family interest was one I found heart-warming, considering their childhood. The author did a wonderful job in portraying sibling love and their concern for their ‘baby’ brother. (Yup, we had one of those in my family, regardless of age!) The love between mother and son is honest and palpable.

Surprises galore are in store for everyone, whether those in Dry Creek or Boston. The suspense keeps the book moving to the end, once the initial story unfolds. I did find the opening a little slow and the conversation coerced. But it could easily have been a little stunted as Angelina thought Tyler dead–a little awkward trying to converse with a dead man she once had a crush on! After that, I was pulled into the story. The humor made the story even that much more exciting. But there were a few bumps and bruises during the different scenarios!

I’m not usually a ‘romantic only’ type reader, but Janet definitely kept my attention! The characters aren’t as fleshed out as a longer novel, but the author delivered! A very sweet romance!

My thanks go to Janet for a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review. No monetary compensation was exchanged.

Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek
By Janet Tronstad

This is the latest book by Janet Tronstad in the Dry Creek Series. I really enjoyed this one! It was great going back to Dry Creek and seeing some of the other characters again and catching up with what they were doing. Ever wondered what people would say about you when you were dead, or ever been estranged from home and have a chance to go back? Both of these things happen to Tyler Stone. His family thinks he was killed and are planning a memorial service the night he comes back into town. Tyler never felt like he belonged so he struck out on his own. He goes to work for Brighton Security, and then joins the military. Mr. Brighton hires him for one more job—bringing his daughter, Angelina, back home.
Angelina and Tyler have a history from before. Tyler was hired once before to protect Angelina when her father received a kidnapping threat. She can’t believe he has come back and on the night of his memorial service.
Both Angelina and Tyler learn what home means, how to trust in God, and that you can pray even when you don’t know the words. This story really spoke to my heart. Tyler could not understand how anyone could love him, even God, and especially Angelina. He felt like odd man out while growing up; his father loved his brothers more and he could never do anything to earn his respect. Follow Tyler as he learns about God’s love, forgiveness, and mercy and how he learns to accept himself and allow Angelina into his heart.
His brothers’ and mother’s transformations as they allow God to change them, works and changes Tyler. Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek is a book to keep on the shelf to read over and over. Once you start this one you will get caught up and will keep it to read over and over!

Janet Tronstad has a winner with her Dry Creek Series and this book "Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek" shows us life in small town USA.

Angelina grew up with bodyguards and money in her life, yet one young man and his giving heart captures her interest. He thought she was just a young spoiled girl yet something about her soaked into his heart and stayed....
Angelina grew into a lovely young woman and became a Christian and wanted to share her fortune and her life with others, knowing that Tyler had lived in Dry Creek, Montana and that he was the only young man she had any "real" interest in high school, when she found out he had died in a bomb explosion she planned a hometown memorial with his brothers and Mother.
Angelina's dad wants her to marry his lawyer and settle down, He thinks she is running away from this when she goes to Dry Creek- and just maybe she is...
Then the unthinkable happens and she finds out that Tyler Stone is not dead and very much alive. she must let his family know on the eve of the memorial service that had been planned and it turns into a party instead-welcoming Tyler home again.
There have been secrets from the beginning that Tyler doesnt know and he carries a lot of undeserved guilt and does not let anyone get to close to him since he grew up.
Can Angie -as she is known in Dry Creek, get close to him-show him how she has felt about him for a very long time now. Will Tyler come back home to stay and give his brothers a chance so they can truly be a family? The Ranch is looking good with both brothers married and His Mother is home again and happier then she has been in a very long time.
Reading this story you will want to drive down that road to Dry Creek and take a peak at the Stone family as they sit down to one of their after church meals with plenty of food and fellowship of family and friends.

Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek by Janet Tronstad
Dry Creek Series Book 21 (Book 3 of the Stone Brothers)
Tyler Stone has returned to Dry Creek for the first time since he was twelve. He wasn’t here to revisit the past though, he was here to retrieve his bosses daughter, Angeline. Working for Brighton Security before entering the Military, he was often Angeline’s keeper. Not an easy job to watch over such a beautiful woman and know she could never be yours.
Tyler is surprised that more awaits him in Dry Creek than just the lovely heiress.

Angeline Brighton had to find a way for closure. She had to put Tyler to rest so she could move on with her life. She had come to Dry Creek to do just that and to get away from her dad's plans of marrying her off to his lawyer. The town was so opposite of Boston but she loved the people and her job as a cook. Just when she was ready to face closure….Tyler shows up and changes everything.

Janet has done it again. Love, humor and our friends in Dry Creek help the story and the town come alive once again. Mrs Hargrove, the cafe and cowboys welcome us back to Dry Creek. And you may want to keep tissues around if you are one to get emotionally into a story as well. Be sure and read Sleigh Bells for Dry Creek- Wade Stone’s story and than Lilac Wedding in Dry Creek to read Jake Stone’s tale. The next book will be Second Chance in Dry Creek about Wade, Jake and Tyler’s mom, Gracie Stone.

Thanks to Janet for my copy of this book.

I enjoyed this book I found the opening so different from any book I have read which is refreshing. Angelina has a father who will buy her anything and do most anything for her but at times doesn't realise what she wants most is his time. Tyler works for her f as a bodyguard and is now back from the war and off to Dry Creek to bring Angelina home to marry a man she doesn't want to marry. In the first chapter we see why Angelina is in Dry Creek and how she has become a christian. Tyler also hasn't caught up with the fact his mother didn't kill his father and feels its his fault she did it. The book deals with forgiveness of one self, self awareness of what really matters and what person really needs, assumptions. Often when we are children we think we are responsible for things that happened or that it was our fault when in reality we are not to blame but unless things are talked about we hold onto this belief into adulthood and it can cause issues. This happens with Tyler. The book shows how we need to talk things out to find out what is true. Also for parents to talk with children and find out how they feel. If something bad does happen let them know it isn't there fault.
Good read.

So many times in real life, the Holy Spirit chooses family members or close friends to show someone visibly how Christ came into their world and did an overhaul on their lives.

Tyler Stone, as did his brothers, went through the first part of his life with low self-esteem based on poverty, lifestyle, a dysfunctional family and without God. He seemed to feel that no matter what he did or how good he did it, he would never be a stable or loving husband or father.

When he finally visits his former hometown, he sees miraculous changes in other people's lives. He also is at his point of need and begins to note that God does seem real.

A young woman whom he served as a body guard in their teens still shares a special relationship with him. After a family secret is revealed, he begins to understand more of the root of his insecurity and opens his heart to God's care and redemption.

It is amazing how so many people have trusted Christ in this small place and how the power and strength of God permeates and continues to reach others.

This story by Janet Tronstead, is again one that could easily be real and in any Montana cowboy town. I recommend this easy and enjoyable read!

Title: Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek

Author: Janet Tronstad

Series: Return to Dry Creek Love Inspired

Chapters: 14 plus epilogue

Pages: 317

Genre: Christian Romance

Rating: 4 ½ stars

Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek is the story of the third Stone Brother Tyler. Tyler has come back from Afagatsian. He was in the army to he was injured in combat. He has a job to do for his old boss to bring the man’s daughter home for her wedding. Angelina Brighton has other plans she loves her life in Dry Creek and wants to marry for love. Tyler being part Cherokee Angelina’s father didn’t think he was good enough for his daughter.
Out of the three Stone brothers Tyler was my favorite. I think in many ways because one of my two favorite types of hero’s are military and cowboys; and Tyler Stone is both. Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek is an enjoyable read with a happy ending as is true with most love inspired books.

Once I started reading Wildflower Bride it was hard for me to stop. Janet always writes interesting characters with fantastic backstory but this time around there was something in these characters that really touched me. I have no experience as an heiress or military/bodyguard, and their emotional and spiritual hurdles are different enough from my own but I deeply empathized with both Tyler and Angelina. The themes of forgiveness and personal growth in this book are accompanied by secrets and twists that create an overall excellent story. Visiting Dry Creek and her many interesting townspeople is always a treat. Having read the previous Return to Dry Creek books, I can now say that Tyler is my favorite Stone! I look forward to reading Gracie's story.

And I have to add, I really enjoy reading Janet's letter to her readers at the end of the book. She ties up the major theme in the book with a personal story or reflection and always leaves me with food for thought!

Angelina Brighton has settled in Tyler Stone's Montana hometown, and Tyler has been sent by her father to bring her back to Boston. This couple have a history together, Tyler being her former bodyguard, but that was years ago, when Angelina was in high school. Time has changed both of them. Tyler, recently back from the service, is learning the truth about his childhood, the love of his family and hometown, and the love that God has for him. Angelina has to accept that her controlling father really loves her, and as a new Christian, she chooses to honor him and return to her former life. Readers will love the humor in this novel as Tyler and Angelina try to discover if they are meant to be together.

This is the second Dry Creek novel I have read, and I enjoyed it more than the first, since I am now getting to know more of the characters. I am thankful for receiving a copy of this book from the author in exchange for this review.

1.5 rounds up to two stars. It didn’t make me mad the way some books I don’t like do, it just didn’t really hold my interest. Not for me. Again, serves me right for being lured in by a title.

This is another wonderful story that takes place in the town of Dry Creek, Montana. Imagine the emotion of going back to the home of your childhood and finding that your 'lost' family is there preparing for your memorial service. This is the situation that Tyler Stone faces when he arrives in town in a search for his high school friend, Angelina Brighton. He is an employee of her father for the second time in his life after being her body guard in high school. More surprises are in store when he learns this daughter of the wealthy man is working as a cook for cowboys. She does not want to go back home to her father and his plans for her marriage to his well-to-do lawyer.
This very touching story is a can't-put-down read. There were tears in my eyes as the last few chapters unfolded. Lovely story.

I have become so addicted to this series set in Dry Creek, Montana, that I find myself fantasizing about moving there! The characters are so real and compelling, they immediately capture your interest and keep you on edge waiting for the next book to see what comes next in their lives. Their imperfections help make them genuine, and watching them strive to come to grips with living their lives in the world as Christians is, well, "love inspired"! :) This story about the final member of the Stone family's return to the family ranch after years in foster care, and his reunion with the family that was broken up by the death of his father and imprisonment of his mother is absolutely riveting. If you haven't read any of the books in this series I encourage you to begin with the first one and prepare to be caught up in the lives of some ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Janet has done it again! She never disappoints! The book continues the "Stone Family Series............Dry Creek is a lot like my hometown-- It is small and everybody knows everybody! Living in a small town has its advantages and disadvantages just as big cities do. If I had to choose between a small town and big city, I would choose a small town because it has a much slower pace. There's nothing wrong with living in a big city, but it is just what you are used to.

Angelina Brighton grew up in a big city and Tyler Stone grew up in a small town. Angelina's father doesn't think Tyler is good enough for her because he did not have the advantages she had.

Angelina goes to Dry creek to plan a "Coming home" party for Tyler. When he arrives in an most unusual way, she realizes she is in BIG TROUBLE!

To find out the exciting conclusion, you have to read the book.

I laughed a lot in this story. The characters are good people. The plot was funny.
Angelina Brighton came to Dry Creek to plan a memorial for Tyler who died as a special Ops. Or so she told his family. He was actually MIA but a mixed up happened.

Tyler had lost contact with his family. He has no idea what has been happening in their lives lately. Tyler knows their can not be a future between them.

Angelina is a heiress. Tyler is a year older and was hired as a bodyguard who could fit into high school. They were close. Tyler saved her life. She has a crush on him and thought if she came here and have a memorial she could get over him.

This is a clean uplifting story. I have read a few books in the series and have like them. Does talk a lot about scriptures, prayers and church.

I bought this ebook on Amazon.

Wildflower Bride is book 3 in the "Return to Dry Creek Series". about the 3rd son that comes back to Dry Creek needing redemption from an abusive father. Tyler doesn't know that his mother didn't kill his father but when he finds out, he is very much relieved. He has always felt it is was his fault that his father was angry with him on that final day and his mother stood up to his father so Tyler didn't have to so Tyler has always felt the guilt. Janet Tronstad has written yet another in a long line of thoughtful, wonderful books dealing with human feelings and emotions that we all deal with, yet can triumph over! Tyler learns that with God, family and the love of a sweet, patient woman, he can forgive himself and his past and start over to have a wonderful future!

Soldier Tyler Stone newly released from Special Ops has mixed feelings about being back in Dry Creek. His family welcomes him happily but every family keeps its secrets.
Angelina Brighton has a hard time believing Tyler is still alive since beginning to plan a memorial in his honor. She has had quite a few suitors in high school and over the years but can an old flame still kindle a few sparks?

Romance, strong family ties, cowboys, tenderness and secrets offer readers a sweet story with some laugh aloud moments! Strong characters and interesting dialogue keep the story moving and alive. I was entertained by this inspiring and faith challenging read and would recommend the book to others. Thanks to the author who provided a complimentary copy to me for my review.

Hi! I enjoyed reading this book for the author. Tyler Stone comes back from the war in Afghanistan a changed man. He comes back to Dry Creek where his mother and brothers live. Everyone thinks he is dead..they find out at the memorial service that he is alive. He runs into a girl Angelina Brighton that he was a bodyguard for in high school. He finds out she is a bunkhouse cook for a cattle ranch nearby. Tyler can't believe that she is living here while her father is rich and living in Boston. Angelina has her own past to run from. She is tired of her dad making decisions for her and wants her to marry a man she doesn't love.
In the end, Tyler and Angelina finally get together and they get married.

I always enjoy reading Janet Tronstad books about Dry Creek. It is like visiting with old friends. Wildflower Bride in Dry Creek is about Tyler Stone returning to Dry Creek to bring back his boss's daughter, Angelina. When Tyler first returns to Dry Creek he feels that no one cares about him or his family. By the end of the book he finally realizes that the community does care about him and his family. Angelina and Tyler realize that they love each other and get married by the end of the book. Angelina realizes that her father loves her also and reconnects with him by the end of the book.

Love the unexpected surprise of starting a book and then realizing its part of a series I liked. This one was worth waiting for. I loved how the stories came together and how everyone had to set the hero straight about so many things that happened while he was gone. Every time he thought he had it figured out they'd throw him another curve. Which he handled quite nicely, I might add. Dry Creek sounds like a great place to live and raise a family!!!!
