Loretta comes home from an early chili dinner she cooked for to find her front door ajar and her precious cat Milo missing. Loretta searches everywhere with no luck, she also calls the police to report the break in. When Pauline and Bridgette show up they tell her some man has been driving around looking for her, turns out it's her ex-husband and he shows up in the middle of the night demanding she give him back all the money from their divorce settlement because he needs it. Loretta reports the visit to the police and is surprised by the amount of trouble her ex is still causing between him, a dead body, a new wife and a missing cat this is just more chaos than Loretta wants to deal with but in the end the murder is solved and most importantly Milo finds his way home with a little help. Great read.

The last person Loretta ever wanted to see was her crazy ex but like a boomerang, there he was making demands. When he was arrested for murder, Loretta (as much as she couldn't stand the guy) didn't think he was a killer so along with sleuthing that out, there was the mystery of 'who took the cranky cat'? The whodunit wasn't too hard to guess, but the sleuthing was still good.

After all the craziness was settled and the police had their perp, the village got a nice surprise and maybe it was even a better surprise for Loretta, who knows? It'll be interesting to see what happens next! Can't wait to borrow the next book when it's out!

Great book!!!!

I really like this series!!!!
Loretta was at the Breezy Lake Village Clubhouse for the chili dinner and when she got home she found her house was broken into and she found her front door opened and her cat Milo was gone. She called the police and she reported the crime.
She was having a sleepless night and heard scratches on her bedroom windows in the middle of the night and found a very unwanted blast from her past looking at her.
Ex-husband, loan shark, murder and her cat was still missing.
What in the world does Loretta have to do to live in peace?
You have to get this book to find the answers!!!!
You won't be disappointed!!!!

Again love it

I like the small mysteries that are in this series. Loretta's ex husband shows up and brings trouble with him. One hit man ends up dead, her ex is a suspect and the killer is a female that claimed to be his new wife who was the person he owed money to. Oh, and Milo turns up missing and found by Pauline of all people. On to the next one. I really wish that recipes were included in the books because some of this stuff sounds very good,

The past has a way of showing up when you least expected. Seems someone has been searching for Loretta who manages to break into home as her cat beloved cat goes missing.

Who is this blast from the past and what do they want from her? Surprises are not always wanted in this fast-paced cozy read.

A must addition.

Another strong addition to the series

Loretta comes home to find someone has been in her house and her cat Milo is missing. Then her ex husband turns up looking for money. From there the mystery deepens with a dead body and more intrigue. A fun read looking forward to the next in the series

Another really good book on this series. Loretta sure has her hands full in this one. Her current life collided with her past life. Pick up a copy to see how it all plays out. Great ending, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
