**This series has been re-vamped and changed significantly. If you have not read the new version of the prequel, you will not understand the new version of this book.

Even if I can’t, Delores Drew is finally free and all I have to do is survive the year.
At least, that’s what I thought until the first dead body turns up on campus with a note addressed to me pinned to it.
Either we solve the mystery or I could just become some bunny they used to know.

That being said, I am not liking the collection of scenes rather than an actual book. Each chapter is a scene, then you blink, and a week or two goes by, and then another scene happens, and a month goes by. Then you are given information that happens off page and there’s no explanation. At one point the girl gets spanked and we never find out when or how it happened. So much of the book could be deleted and I don’t think anyone would have noticed. I love how the bodies and missing are after thoughts as well. Death, blink and it’s two weeks later and we have no clue who even died. I said it was an improvement on the original, but it’s worse in ways too. If I see the next book, I might read it, but I won’t go out of my way to look for it.
I absolutely LOVE Dolly and her men and watching her grow and come into herself through this the second book was amazing! Now where can I find me a Fitz?
There are some serious plot inconstancies within this 810 page book.
First, let us discuss the page length. The author has chosen to not format the book correctly, which leads to about 75 or so extra pages. Gotta milk that KU money somehow. Second, the book should have been 150 pages or so shorter. With proper editing, the page count should be a nice manageable 550 pages. But again, with 550 pages, the author can't get all the extra pennies from the KU payment method.
The editing and pacing of the book needs a huge rework. If the FMC goes out on a date, we hear all about the date from the FMC, then we hear about it again in detail when the FMC chats with her friends, we hear about it 2-3 more times when the POV switches to the MMCs. There is A LOT of repeating information and unnecessary details.
Unfortunately, the author has a toxic love for the use of italics. There are so many sentences that are italicized that it devalues the formatting choice. It actually becomes distracting.
There are POV's from people not in the harem which didn't add anything to the story.
Now, let's talk about some of the most glaring plot issues. Are you telling me that two very ancient beings who have been exiled to that campus DIDN'T FULLY EXPLORE THEIR SURROUNDINGS PRIOR TO THE FMC GETTING THERE? In the same thought, the FMC has been on that campus for 8-10 months and she has NEVER fully shifted in front of her harem? She didn't feel comfortable talking to them about what her instincts are telling her to do? And these ancient beings just forgot all about mate bonds? Why did it take the author 80% of the book to address the revenge aspect? Why did the exciting part only happen in the last 5%?
The idea of the academy and the harem had SO much potential, but the author didn't know how to write a compelling and fast paced novel, so we're stuck with 800+ pages of blubber.
And of course, since this is a RH we have dumb nicknames for the FMC. The FMC's name is Delores, which already comes with a built in nickname but that's just not good enough. Here are just "a few": D, DD, Dolly, Barbie, doll face (which the author also types out dollface), babe, cottontail, baby girl, little one, bite size(d), Little Miss Cottontail, appetizer, petite, snacksize, snacklet, Dolly Bear, bombshell, sweetheart, Rainbow, angel, pork chop, little bunny, il prima, lunchable, petite lapin, Dollypop, princess, little dessert, little bunny rabbit, D train, Ma petite, Queen D, and nibblet. Yep. All of that.
Let Us Prey by Cassandra Featherstone is a dark paranormal romance. This is the second book in the Apex Academy Capers series.
I really enjoyed the changes that Cass made to these revamped versions. I will say I am glad I continued with the series. The first one was a real struggle for me to get through. But this book I couldn't help but binge it. I am really enjoying the relationship that is being built between Delores, Fitz, Chess, Felix, Renard, and Aubrey. I can't see how it will progress over the course of the series.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for Cassandra to announce the release date for the next book In Prey We Trust.
I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, paranormal romances, shifter romances, or why choose romances.
No more DD, it's Dolly and she's discovering herself, fighting the negativity from her ex friends, abusive parents and all the self hate that comes with it. The book sometimes flows, other times it feels like it skips in time. The smut is initially hot, but feels like it's missing that extra bit to heat. Also you get one open door scene then just references.
Let Us Prey, the second book in the Apex Society Capers series by Cassandra Featherstone is a definite must read for any dark and steamy paranormal RH shifter romance lover out there, and I highly recommend you grab this one for yourself now!
Delores, our sweet and slightly naive fmc, is a unique prey shifter growing up in a world dominated by predators, and after the happenings in the prequel, finds herself starting at Apex Academy, struggling to fit in to a new school filled with predators just waiting for a chance to bring her down. Now finding herself facing a goal of just trying to survive all that keeps coming her way, Dolly has no other choice then to learn how to stand up for herself and to become a kick butt heroine she’s meant to be—even when your fellow classmates (and ex friends) are against you and determined that make your life hell. Luckily for Dolly though she’s found quite the pack to call her own—that just so happens to consist of some very over the top protective, oh so possessive and hot as hell professors
The humor and wit that went into creating this story was absolutely amazing and made for a phenomena read full of spicy heat, angst and emotion filled action and a beautiful connection of characters fighting for each other. I love the diversity of Dolly’s broody pack of men that she’s accumulated and how they’re all so unique and dedicated with their feelings for Dolly, providing her with exactly what she needs to survive and grow.
Overall this was a well thought out story with a creative and intriguing twist filled plot, dynamic characters and a pace that flowed beautifully throughout the whole story. I absolutely loved the puns and play on words that the author developed for this world. And the romance and heat between the characters? Pure perfection! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for our fearless group and whether or not they’ll be able to overcome all the obstacles in their way.
The prequel to Let Us Prey was really good, it mapped out the world, introduced characters, and provided the first climax of the story. In that book, we learn that Delores is a prey bunny shifter that's surrounded by mean girls pretending to be her friends, sociopathic predator parents, and a douchey boyfriend. In this book, the mean girl besties that tried to kill her in the prequel seem more like high school bullies. Her mother has a similar transformation to the head of a human trafficking ring, but still seems like a useless alcoholic. Her douchey ex-boyfriend is never really mentioned again either.
This book gave the vibe of trying to be a dark YA novel. I'm rather disappointed in the lack of character development in this book. The prequel set it up perfectly and then the author missed it by a mile. Delores' whole personality was a juxtaposition to her life in the prequel. She has none of the vicious, sociopathic tendencies of her alcoholic parents and in this book, she's a whiny, self-conscious, kind of annoying yet somehow?? is a badass?? It's completely unbelievable because so much of the plot happens behind closed doors or there's a jump in time so we experience the aftermath of a situation. If I read another scene of Delores explaining her sex life to her friends, I will throw my phone at the wall.
Here's a list of plot points that I still don't understand: Are Renard and Aubrey in a relationship? Why did the chemistry Chess and Fitz have disappeared? Who spanked Delores? Why were the guys exiled? And why does it matter to the story? There's more, but those are the main ones.
Reading this book was like reading a run on sentence, I was wondering when it would end, why there were so many unimportant details and wtf the author was thinking. Don't recommend, especially since it was almost 800 pages of useless exposition.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
After reading the prequel, I knew I’d really enjoy this series. I’m so glad this book did not disappoint. It was SOOOO GOOOOD. I love me a good reverse harem and this book is up there on my top favorites.
I don’t want to give too much away but a lot of times with RH and with certain tropes, authors can get carried away with extremes. Either it’s insta love “you are the center of my world” or it’s “I hate you and you’re toxic even though I don’t know you but I’m not changing my mind”. This book did neither which was awesome. It was a happy middle ground that seems much more like what would actually happen, you know if we actually lived in a world of shifters and stuff.
The character development was amazing. Each of the men has a personality and they don’t all blend together. A lot of times with RH I become fixated on 1 or 2 of the guys (with the exception of group scenes of course) but I’m equally invested in all of them here. I want to see their relationships blossom and I’m so excited for it to continue. The multiple POVs are a done well and not unnecessarily.
The plot progressed at a pace that gave the author time to really develop the characters while also getting you on the edge of your seat as clues slowly reveal themselves.
I’m so excited to see where this goes and I really hope the author stays on track with her writing style for the following books, even if a lot of people may not appreciate the slower pace. A lot of authors write much faster paced novels because that’s what appeals to many readers(which is totally understandable for both reader preferences and authors), but as someone who reads to escape into another world, I truly appreciate the detail in creating this world and its inhabitants.
Once again Cassandra Featherstone has hit it out of the park. Let Us Prey continues Dolly’s story as she starts at Apex Academy and this is the author’s true vision for the story - just like Taylor Swift.
I can’t tell you how much I love this series. Everything about it is perfection. From the gripping mysteries, and surprise magical peeps , to the phenomenal characters, the perfect amount of spice to the puns (Predbook anyone), Let Us Prey was a joy to read.
The story focuses on Dolly, and her personal development after, what was probably rock bottom at the end of book one. I love what Cass has done with her. She’s slowly coming into her her own, making some incredible friends in Coco and Rufus, and finding romance with five smoking hot professors. Dolly is a mass of contradictions, between the strong, sharp councillor’s daughter and the innocent and naive woman. There’s so much potential here.
Dolly also has five amazing professors falling for her, Aubrey, the grumpy dragon, Renard, the broody gargoyle, Felix, the closed off tiger, Fitz, the cinnamon roll psycho tiger (and Felix’s twin), and Chess, the sweet cheetah, also mates to Fitz. All of the guys are appealing, and it will be fun to learn more about them and watch them open up to Dolly. However, Fitz is my favourite. He’s the first to truly recognize Dolly’s potential to the group and be all in. He’s also the only one who courts her with the body parts of her enemies. What can I say, he’s a loveable psycho.
LUP does end in a cliffhanger. If you’ve read the original, there’s a whole lot more going on now, and it’s mind blowing. I have no idea what’s going on or where the story is going to go, but I’m excited to see what happens with our bunny and her professors.
I really enjoyed the audio for this; hearing Fitz's lines just made me appreciate him so much more! His energy is infectious and you cannot help but fall for him a little. Kayden Lukakis does a great job with the various MMCs and I liked his Aubrey and Ren scenes in particular; it really captured that old married couple vibe. There are also some cracking one liners that did make me real life LOL and Aubrey's rotation of food related nicknames for Dolly was cute.
Although this starts off with some strong bullying (the dorm room - gross), the focus moves onto Dolly's relationships and her own development pretty quickly. The Heathers are still out to get Dolly but the bullying becomes more tell than show and I didn't feel that sense of foreboding as badly as I did in the prequel. As much as I want to trust Ru-ru and Coco though, I'm not quite there yet as I think there is more to at least one of them than meets the eye.
This is a long book but the pacing towards the end really ramps up. After a few off page time jumps I was ready for it to kick up a gear and it definitely did that. The audio had a sneaky bonus scene so the cliffhanger wasn't too bad; I'm hoping Felix's time to shine is coming too as he is miles behind in this slow burn romance. Even Aubrey has had his date!
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
What does a prey shifter do when forced to attend an all-predator academy? She rocks it so hard you can’t even fathom it! I loved Dolly’s personal development, and all the cute and sarcastic pet names her guys all gave her. Her new friends are epic - but for some reason I’m still holding my breath for the other shoe to drop. Not sure my heart can handle it if one of them turns frenemy. Not only is Dolly expected to become unalive during her stay at the academy, but she is also tormented by her parents, her ex-friends and all their little minions. Her sh!t list keeps growing. Fitz, Chess, Felix, Renyard, and Aubrey are amazing characters, and especially the ADHD tiger had me completely spellbound. He is chaos incarnate and I love where this is all going. There was the prequel and then this first book, that most definitely ends on a cliffhanger. With the extensive samples from several books at the end, this was a bit shorter than what I expected from the “print page” number and I was literally left hanging, cause I was expecting the next chapter and not the end of book 1 LOL I can’t wait for the next book to see where our favorite bunny will take her life - she will probably burn down the entire world. Highly recommended to lovers of darkish romance with twists, turns, and plot bunnies so wild your mind will spin. Only the continued need to adult made me take this long to read this amazing book!
I read the intro for this book where the author explains how she did rewrites and hints at some drama which lead to this, but states how happy she is with this book and how much it had been proof read and edited .... I'm really sorry, this book has so much potential to be a really interesting book and I'm actually really curious to know what it was like before the rewrite because there are serious issues. After I finished reading, I went and checked the reviews and while there are some really good reviews, others are noticing the same thing I am, it's really disjointed and gappy. Repeatedly the story will be describing a scene ... And then suddenly it's days later leaving the reader trying to work out what they missed. An example, the FMC hears a knock at the door and sniffs, suddenly we are in the next chapter with one of the mmc's knocking on the door, but when they enter it quickly becomes clear we are now days later. The story itself ... It's not terrible... But it has a touch of immaturity and it's very very long. Being a long book is fine if that story is engaging and well written so it doesn't feel that long, but this book felt very long. I did get to the end of the book and while I am a little interested to see where the story goes I'm not sure if I can read another of these books. It feels incomplete and that is disappointing because they premise of the book is pretty good.
I’ve realized that I adore Cassandra Featherstone! She’s quickly become one of my go-to favorite authors.
This series so far is really awesome. I love the world building. I love the plot. I love the character development. It’s all fantastic!
FMC’s name is Delores Diamond Drew AKA Dolly. It’s really such a shame that her name is so hideous. Anyways, Dolly is from a very powerful Council family. She’s supposed to become a super fierce Apex Predator and who will take over her family Council seat in the future. Unfortunately, Dolly turns into a cute wittle bunny rabbit….and now the council, her parents, and everyone in her life wants her dead.
…but Dolly meets five powerful professors who may end up changing her fate….and maybe Dolly isn’t a regular ol’ cute bunny?? DUN DUN DUN!!
There is so much to love about this story so far, but I wish the plot line would move a little faster. It felt like this book was just setting the scene for future books in this series. Not a lot of plot progression happened here.
Also, there were a lot of unexplained time-jumps. Things happened off page that we never got to see, like when Dolly was apparently spanked by one of her guys, but it was only mentioned because her friends were mad that Dolly’s ass was sore. Months pass in the blink of an eye and student deaths are just barely mentioned. There were a lot of random scenes that didn’t serve a purpose or connect to the story in a meaningful way. As much as I enjoyed reading this book, I also feel like it needs more editing.
Relationship development in this series is also happening at a snail’s pace. The author claims this series is medium steam and medium burn…that is false. There are only three, very quick, practically “closed door” sex scenes in this 800+ page beast. The sex scenes only consist of “putting it in and coming. Done.” I wish I was more impressed by the spice.
However, what/who I absolutely adore is Fitz. The adorably insane psychopath personality will always be a favorite of mine! Fitz is so sweet and protective with slightly obsessive stalker-ish tendencies. He gifts FMC severed body parts of her enemies! It’s so romantic 🥰😂
This story is fabulous, despite it’s shortcomings, and I can’t wait to read more.

🐇 Del is getting more confident in herself and her relationships with her professors. She is truly a bada$$ and I really enjoy Cassandra's version of Del's story and can't wait for more. We also got to see her mother a little bit more in this book and what she is truly like (which isn't great). I can't wait for Dolly to get her justice 🐇
🐇 It was really interesting to see how Del's relationships progressed in this book. I really love that Renard, Aubrey and Del have their own "secrets" within the group. I think they'll all find out eventually but I think it's so cute that right now it's all very secretive and romantic in a sense 🐇
🐇 I really love that Del appreciates Fitz for who he is. Yes, he has ADHD but who cares? Del certainly doesn't and I loved seeing that she knew how to harness his strengths. He is really smart and I just love him. Chess is just always so cute and sweet and I just love him so much 🐇
🐇 I kinda really love the slow burn aspect in regards to Del and Felix. I think it'll reach boiling point and they'll both just explode so I'm excited about that 🐇
I have purchased the next book and will be reading it ASAP!!!
💜 why choose including m/m 💜 slow burn but also spicy with certain mmc's 💜 multiple pov 💜 found family 💜 shifter romance 💜 amazing friends
The second installment of Dolly's story has been a thrilling ride! We've got Dolly starting her first year at Apex Academy after emerging as a bunny. The council has decided that the best way to handle Dolly being a bunny is to send her to the predator college and have the kids unalive her in an unfortunate accident. However, Dolly isn't just going to roll over and allow this to happen. We get to see that even a bunny has claws. Ru-Ru and Coco are wonderful allies that Dolly must learn to trust. Their personalities are amazing. I love the punk rock badger, who lives for theater and the sweet polar bear who isn't afraid to let her colors show. These two help Dolly learn to trust again and I love the relationship between all of them. They guys, Aubrey the grumpy dragon, Renard the emo gargoyle, Chess the sweet cheetah, Felix the tiger King, and Fitz the psycho enforcer. I love these characters. There are some aspects to them that you just don't see coming and I am here for it. How anyone could not fall in love with them is beyond me. Getting to each of them better and seeing the character development was amazing. The ending is a cliff, but it feels like a good cliff. Do I want more right this second? Yes, yes I do, but I didn't throw my kindle across the room either. I couldn't put this one down and I cannot wait for book 3.
Let Us Prey by Cassandra Featherstone is book 2 of the Apex Academy Capers series and it is so good.
💜 bad 🍑 bunny shifter FMC 💜 found family 💜 forced proximity 💜 several mysteries 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice
Delores is our FMC in this book. We find her at the beginning of this book at the end of summer. She’s getting ready to go to Apex Academy for her freshman year of school. She’s determined to make her own way, stand up for herself, and have vengeance on those who have wronged her. Will she make it through the year? Will she find anyone that she can trust while at the school? Will she be able to gain vengeance on any of those who hurt her last year at prom?
This book was so good and soooo thick. But, it’s totally worth it and I was glad for the length of the book. It allowed for more world building, character building, and more mysteries to emerge. The puns and jokes were so fun and I caught myself laughing out loud more than once. I can’t wait for the next book so that I can read what happens next.
Let Us Prey by Cassandra Featherstone is a phenomenal paranormal romance. This story follows Dolly a bunny shifter to Apex Academny for predators. However Dolly isn't your typical Prey animal as she was raised by viscious predators. While at school she discovers who she really is and builds a Harem of shifters. I absolutely LOVED this story it shows that you can't always judge a book by its cover as Dolly is not typical for her species. It follows her growth as.she comes into her own. Her men are all exiled professors and they are finding love in an unexpected place. Additionally.many are finding a second chance at romance and happiness. The world building is incredible and there are lots of twists and surprises. I rated Let Us Prey 5 out of 5 stars. It's has wonderful detailed characters. There is lots of suspense and action in this story. There is lots of steam and spice between Dolly and her Harem. If you enjoy stories with age gaps, fated mates, possessive alphas, and slow build romances with a reverse Harem you LOVE Let Us Prey by Cassandra Featherstone.
I really enjoyed this read. It has been a while so I am not sure I caught all the changes. But so far I am really enjoying it… I love this break up of prey and pred shifters and how that is integrated into the societal hierarchy. This does have a touch of “not like other girls” but I love it . I am not sure why it needs to be almost 800 pages. Lol this baby was thhhhiic. It was good.. but I kind of wish it was either shorter, broken up more or a stand-alone. I also do not enjoy it when an author provides a POV outside of the MCs . I don’t particularly care to know what they think and this particular POV… not a fan. So therefore I mostly skimmed those chapters.. probably lost some context but *shrugs*.
A little bit of a warning is that the CW may not do the Child Ab*se mention justice. Emotional, Verbal ab*se possible past physical abuse of a child by a parent. Parental fatphobia. Parental Narcissism, child neglect. Threats from parent of physical harm. Some of these I was not prepared for. Protect your mental health. <3
Hmm this one was better than the first book—and yes Come Out and Prey was the first in the series despite being called a “prequel” since it had relavent info—but holy heck was this one a LONG read. It was enjoyable enough to stick it out though. The characters were more engaging this time around. Dolly’s besties were two of my faves but I did enjoy seeing how her influence was affecting the five love interests: she made Fitz calmer, Chess more confident, Ren more playful and mischievous, Felix less grumpy, and Aubrey just a wee bit happier.
Dolly’s inner rabbit was definitely giving off Bunnicula vibes with how vicious she was and I do applaud the whole making “prey the predator” dynamic that the author was working with. Kept everyone on their toes to not underestimate someone simply because they’re soft and fluffy.
I’ll probably hold off on reading further just because I don’t think I can make it through another 700+ pages anytime soon. But I am happy my experience reading this world improved from the previous story.
READ THE PREQUEL FIRST!! You’ll be lost otherwise.
This was a great continuation from the prequel. D comes back with such a different outlook and personality, absolutely phenomenal. The old D was a pushover and scared of her own shadow, but she took a total humiliating tragedy and changed her entire life for the better. These guys are great and definite don’t coddle her. She doesn’t need it but they do help her how they can.
Downside to this book, it’s so long. Normally I’m great with that, but it just feels like some of the scenes could be cut and it wouldn’t make a huge alteration to the storyline. It took me longer than it normally would to read because I needed to find some bigger action in other books to help supplement. This book does have lots of action, but it feels less climatic? I guess I could say. Like a teacher is killed in some shifter fight war game and it really was just pushed off as unimportant.
I do recommend this series and am looking forward to the next book!
I was literary reading this book for more than a week cause my attention for 700+ pages on Kindle is very short sadly, but on the upside i did finish it and im so fr proud of myself for it!
The story of our bunny FMC continues on her first year in this university and everything which we got hints for in book 0.5 was shown here too. Her parents are the horrible creatures ever and her initial besties group is even worse. So my only question to her was how naive she was. BUT this book has changed it, as through all the situations and chaos happening on campus, she became tougher and was very tolerable as a character. Also i was shocked from her having 5 MMCs and all of them professors 🤭🔥🔥🔥 One better than the other? Yep, im here for this chaos too.
Will i be continuing the series? Yes as of now, but let’s see where it moves further by the plot as the ending was super weird and i don’t know if it will give me more vibes in next book
“If you lurk there, staring at the sky long enough, some idiot first- year is going to think you’re Batman when you shift."
Dolly comes from a line of Preds, however, turned out to be Prey. This might cause some issues when she is being forced to go to an all Pred college, yet, she does have some help. Starting with a psycho tiger.
This had me captivated from the very beginning. Yes, this book is medium burn on spice, however, the character build for all of them is phenomenal and will make you want to read more. C.F. has done an amazing job of creating a new world while keeping the relationships of Dolly and her men in the forefront of your mind. There is so much mystery going on, you cannot guess where this plot line is going.
This is a medium burn, why choose, PNR where the leading lady does not have to choose. There is some MM and other triggers, so please read the forewarn.
Delores (Dolly) Drew a sifter raised to be an alpha yet she emerged as a bunny, an embarrassment to the family, she is sent to the Apex Academy, by the Council in hopes she would be killed because she is prey. I just love the twists and turns of this author, as what you think would be the natural course is not. Add in 5 sexy professors, two very artistic friends, the horde of ex's ( a boy friend and former besties) bent on making her life hell. The only one that make things worse for Delores is her mother and that person only needs to be “prey”! The witty dialogue between the professors and Dolly is so well written, I was giggle half the time, and gasping the other half at the cruelty of things to make Dolly's life hell. This is a fantastic book to grab your favorite drink snuggle into a good chair and be prepared to thoroughly entertained.
I cannot even describe how much I love this book. When the FMC is so downtrodden in the prequel and everything looks like it's headed to Hell, it's so nice to have a MMC like Fitz. A raging psychopath who is also adorable? This author is very special in being able to make the reader fall in love and adore this absolute nutter! Delores or Dolly as we will all know her after this book, is such a contradiction of personality traits that you cannot help but be absolutely mesmerized by her! This was a thoroughly enjoyable book that had me staying up late multiple nights during the week! I would say that this is a medium burn book, there is definitely some steam, but it's not all in for all of them yet, so there is plenty of dynamics still to work out and tension to build around that. I personally love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, so there's about 3 of the men that fit that description but for me? Felix. He's the one I want and need to know more about and I can't wait to see the fireworks when these two come together for the first time. The mother? Amazing, the villain everyone loves to hate, her chapters are hilarious and her savage one liners get me everytime! I can't wait for more!
This series is My first official read by this author and I am instantly obsessed and will be reading more by her. I absolutely loved everything about this book. The characters and their growth throughout the story was absolutely amazing. The plot and storyline flowed and meshed phenomenally.
I absolutely loved getting to read more about Dolly and her men in her harem. They all connected perfectly and had intense chemistry together. This was a lengthy story but worth every moment spent reading it and experiencing everything our characters went thru and experienced.
Full of action, suspense, mystery, danger and a secret society, what more could you possibly ask for. Ends on a jaw dropping unexpected ending and will have you needing the next book asap to find out what happens next. Can’t wait for it. This is definitely a must read and I absolutely recommend it.
I have no words!!! Yet, I will have to find them for this.
This book, is amazing!!!! So, before this book, I had truly only read one other series by here. I can, for obvious reasons, state she has fast become of my favorite authors now!
Poor Dolly, we see the at the start she is strong, capable and ready to show the world she could care less and that while she may be a Bunny but she is a Bunny who kicks butt!!! Yet, it's mostly just bravado. Inside she is still flawed and heartbroken and lonely. Her only bright spot, Sexy Fitz. I mean, how can you not love him!! FINGERS!!! So jealous. Her mates help transform her by healing her heart and showing her it's okay to be prey with a predator protector. Can't wait for the next book!! Kind of wanted to punch Raj. But so does Dolly sometimes lol.
The ending brought it down to a two versus a three. Like I said in my update I didn’t like that. We didn’t get a follow through in events such as when they were going to go to the market. Then the next chapter wasn’t them going to the market but skipping in time. We only hear about the market in like one sentence. Those bonding times I feel more crucial to building the relationship and without them it was not the best. Furthermore, this book was so long. It definitely could’ve shaved off a good third of this book. Also this might be on me, but I was looking on this website and there were tags for this book and some didn’t happen. Also, they should’ve been more spicy scenes. I honestly didn’t care about any chapters with Lucille, and the overall plot was boring. I was only here for the romance.
