Bared to Him

Rate this book
Tempted by the billionaire
When stern, handsome, powerful, and rich Phillip Dettmer offers to all make Myka Monroe's BDSM fantasies come true, she's oh so tempted. She has always dreamed of being with a man who would be relentless in his expectations, a Dom who will push her to the edge, giving her the climaxes she craves and the bondage she needs. But she had never imagined that Phillp Dettmer would lay her bare to him, mentally and emotionally as well as sexually, or that the experience would change her life forever, leaving her stronger and more able to ask for what she needs.

The Romance Review

Do you enjoy GlitterKink? Then you will enjoy this book by Ms. Cartwright. BARED TO HIM is a delightful fantasy book about a white collar working woman being swept off her feet by a rich handsome executive. Who doesn't enjoy a little fantasy like this? I've classified this as GlitterKink because it involves a very rich man who can stock his own fully loaded dungeon as well as owning a membership to an exclusive BDSM club.

Myka Monroe is caught reading that book everyone one is talking about—in an elevator no less by a handsome man. Embarrassed and trying to turn it back on him, she asks if he's read it. The suave sexy Phillip Dettmer responds quite elegantly:

"I haven't read it, no. There's no need."

A bell dinged, signaling that she'd reached her floor. "No need?" she asked.

"I live the lifestyle," he said.

The doors slid open.

He moved forward, crowding her space. She'd have to brush past him to exit. He pressed the button to keep the doors open. "Look me up if you're curious."

Be still, my beating heart. I'd be immediately running for a computer to look this guy up. The BDSM in here is nice and light. It's done just right for a new to BDSM female who's been turned on to kinky fun due to the attention regarding BDSM in the media. This book is well written and presents a more accurate picture of a healthy D/s relationship. While a bit unrealistic with a rich handsome guy, a woman can still dream about it.

Ms. Cartwright certainly knows her sensual kinky play with a tasty over the knee (OTK) spanking mixed with the authoritative way Philip commands Myka. An essential point I'd like to make, Ms. Cartwright shows that it's the relationship and connection which makes the BDSM D/s relationship work. This is easily missed and I'm glad Ms. Cartwright highlighted this without lecturing. This delightful treat is recommended to kinky readers who want to see a real glimpse of BDSM dynamics.

I really like Sierra Cartwright's work. She always leaves me on an emotional high. She is probably one of the best writers, that keep it real with the BDSM lifestyle and I appreciate her work greatly. I liked this novel, the sub was feisty and fine. She had a spark I haven't seen in a character in a while.

i loved it but it was too short (I finished it in one sitting) and I expected some Shibari art from the cover page. Further, I thought there would be more character development. Other than that, it was well written!

OMG! The first chapter is tantalizing, just like reading your first erotic novel and your head filled with fantasy and desire. Very hot, BDSM scene which is Myka's first.

Bared to Him popped out at me, obviously, for the title. I was a little put off by that at first, but after reading a few pages, I understood.
The heat level from Total E-Bound was 3, but I would have put it a bit higher. Maybe I've been reading vanilla BDSM for so long that it was shocking, a little intriguing. I liked that surprise quality.
The characters could have been developed more if it were longer (I think I really wanted it to be longer), but they were connected. I could feel the romance in this, which elevated it from something that I wouldn't normally read (I need romance in my books).
Overall, it was a different, quick and satisfying read.
I would buy another book written by Ms. Cartwright.
Enjoy!

So because of the cover I got confused and though it part of a series, silly me - but lucky me as this was a good, quick read
You have to be a really good authour, and using proper English and spelling appeals to my Canuck-ness so much , to have so much happen and the characters motives and feelings explored, in a short story! Never once did it feel like something was missed or overlooked because of the length of the book, Myka and Phillips feelings are made apparent, their thoughts explained, and the motives behind both clearly known
Glad I stumbled across the book, and even happier I wasted no time reading it!

I enjoyed reading this book but had a few issues with it. First it is rather short and the ending felt real clipped. I think the characters could've been fleshed out more especially Phillip. I also would've like to read about his struggles after she left. That being said, I did like what I read and like Sierra as an author. Some of her other books I have loved! Check out her Mastered series! Very hot!

Turmoil Trepidation Resolution

A chance meeting in a elevator sparks off an erotic meeting between Pillip Dettmer and Myka Monroe. Financial advisor Myka finds out that Phillip is a billionaire and dominant and she agrees to scene with him at a local BDSM club. Facing rejection after the scene Myka walks away from Pillip but feels strong enough to hold out for exclusivity and more...

too short! easy to get into, a little predictable at times, likable characters. but parts felt rushed. just needed more time to fully develop & explore a little more. would really have liked a some more communication and/or play between the two before the big gesture at the end.
really, it was just one of those stories I could have happily read a full length novel of instead of a short story

Yay, mutually respectful discussion, negotiation and boundary setting! Boo that it's such a short story, there's not much time for fully developed characters. Double boo to the billionaire hero trope, so tired of that. Although in this case it does tie in with the h/h's meet-cute (in which the book that shall not be named is gently mocked).

I loved Myka and Phillip! The only thing better would have been if the story was longer, but just because I wanted more of them!

The only way that I was able to read this book was in a book called "bound to the billionaire" Which ended up being a short story. A very good short story, but I was left wanting more from it.

I really liked this but was disappointed with how short it was. A little more character development and interaction between Myka and Phillip would have gone a long way to making this a great read.
