The Book Hannah in Between Is a great book. We had to read a book that a family relationship. This is the book I chose because it had a family relationship. The mom is drunk and the girl has to leave because she is drunk. The mom gets in an accident and that ruins her life. The Girl is old enough to live by herself but doesn't she lives with her grandfather. This book has a lot of emotion and it gets sad in some parts and spooky in other parts. I loved this book! I felt like I was in it and it was happening then

A sometimes difficult story about a girl who tries to hide her mother's alcoholism.

There were many things that frustrated me about this book. The absolute hopelessness of the situation, the way that there was no one that Hannah could talk to, especially among those people who are in place to help in just these situations. Overall I found the book depressing, and more dangerously, unrealistic in the ending, to think that the whole mess could be turned around quite so easily.
