This book really helped me understand better the fundamental aspects of what is going on physically with sound waves and the way the ear perceives them.
It focuses on acoustic instruments, but the knowledge is also very useful from the perspective of crafting electronic music and sound design, as it describes how waveforms generate harmonics.

A wonderful book, essential reading for every musician. He explains step by step the physics behind how and why music and instruments work. Illuminating all these secrets that we heard about as beginners and never really understood.
