Rate this book
It Is What It Is, Or Is It...All About Business bridges the thinking between the traditional business world with the psychology of generating peak performance. The world of business is changing, so to must the leadership of it!

Your organization is a reflection of your thinking as a leader, owner or manager. That is, at all stages of your leadership, your operations and people reflect you, and your thinking;
*Are you operating and focused on growth as a leader?
*Are you innovative and creative as a predominant mode?

Your ability to LEAD will become your single most important trait. Did you know that employees and their skills will become the new commodities in business? We are entering a time of unprecedented change in our workforce - in 2014 for the first time ever, more people will exit our workforce than enter. By 2022, we will have a shortfall of 3.9 million people.

People do not leave organizations, people leave leaders!
*75% of employees report their boss as the most stressful part of their job.
*65% of employees would take a new boss over a pay raise.
*45% of new employees leave their job within 1 year, and 50% are planning on leaving.

How you operate as a leader is the difference. Are you expansive or contractive in your nature? More importantly, what does that even mean to you?

After working with countless business leaders, owners and managers, Jeff and Cathy have found there is a common thread to what sets apart the exceptional from the average. Simply stated, they interpret the world around them differently and in doing so, they not only capitalize on opportunity, they create it. It is in how they think.

The title of the book is quite apropos. Roziere and Snelgrove call on the business minded individual to challenge him/herself in this well-written, well-informed book. ‘It Is what It Is, Or Is It....All About Business' begins with the authors presenting the reader with a simple exercise where he/she had to write down his/her thoughts around business. By the end of the book the reader has to revisit those, taking note of the dramatic shift that should have taken place in his/her thinking. The book covered a variety of subjects, including, leadership skills and paradigm shifts, all critical to setting up and managing a successful business. The authors successfully demonstrated that by acknowledging and recognizing one’s thought process, it is easier for one to be open to change and ultimately, to success. Highly recommend.

great book about leadership in business. The perspective on the cycles, and the tipping points inside the cycle make great sense. I love the question, are you expansive or contractive in your leadership?
