Odele, the goddess of Healing, has returned to Olympus, once again the direct servant to Hera, queen of the gods. Yet even after the defeat of Eris, her work is not done. The war of the gods is imminent now, with Cronus restored to life and the Titans back at his side. But before the battle can begin, Odele must find her mortal twin brother, who had been captured by the forces of the vampire Kalos years before. She asks Hera for her brother's whereabouts, and the god queen allows her to attempt to rescue him, but under the condition that she's accompanied by Apollo.
Apollo has waited ages for Odele's return to Olympus to heal the heart he'd broken ages before. The process of healing won't be easy, and Odele's heart is not the only heart to be healed. Both Apollo and Odele's lives are at risk, as they join the god of darkness in a battles against two children of Gaea and Odele's own brothers, Cronus and Typhon. Will Odele's heart be healed, and most importantly, will anyone survive this unique healing process?
He has done it again!! I must say, the only reason I didn't give this book a 5 star rating was because there are so many characters in it, that I found myself forgetting who is who and what they've done. Perhaps I should read all the books over again in a row?!?! :)
I loved the ending, simply perfect. It left me so excited to read the next one!!
From the book's blurb I expected more out of the story between Odelle and Appollo...more interaction with them and less interferance from the other gods(though it did get pretty funny), it was still satisfying to my romantic side. There are so many elements in this series that it seems as if it is hard for the author to focus more time on each of them...perhaps longer stories? That gets my vote!
Drako leads us on a one of a kind adventure with eye rolling, smart ass, no nonsense, kick ass gods in this 3rd book and I'm looking forward to so much more from him.
… Or, the easier it is for them to squash you into a sticky paste? These are just a few of the many things to consider when you are at war with the titans.
The battles for control of existence continue in the third installment of The Dragon Hunters Series. The forces against our heroes are growing in both numbers and boldness as both sides plot and plan for victory. Lucifer has made his way into the mortal realm, the Titans have risen, and Cronus is on the offensive. Now is not exactly the greatest time to be one of the good guys.
But all who have fallen for this series as this reader has know that if there is one thing to never forget about dragons is the trait of loyalty. Whether it be to a mate, family, or their destined duties. Therefore, if Cronus wants a war, he is sure to get one on the level he has never known.
Though shorter than the previous books, this one still packs a punch. With more action than you think could be fit in while still finding time for moments of humor, the growing chance for new loves, and the true fulfillment of a love interrupted.
My only complaint, if one could call it that, is that I wanted more time with the characters. It felt like it was just a span of minutes from the first sentence to the final word. But, there is just as much a compliment in this statement. This book just sucks you in and all else is lost until you finish.
The ending leaves you completely craving more.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I was given this book (ahead of book 5) in exchange for an honest review by the author via Lovers of Paranormal.
Another gripping continuation in the Dragon Hunters series. I couldn't quite give this book the 5 stars that I gave the previous two books. I spent a little time throughout this book wondering where these additional Dragons had come from and why they hadn't been mentioned before. I hate that 'hang on, what?!' feeling when I am reading a book and that happened a couple of times to me during this one.
Once again the plot moved along brilliantly and there were plenty of action scenes. The characters continue to be well-written and consistent. I love the sarcastic humour which seems to suit these characters so well. Even less of Andreas and Kazarian in this book, sadly. And when will we get Vic back I wonder?! Brandon continues to go from strength to strength and I was glad to see more of him and Demun together in this book but I would still like more. Victoria is still strangely not so likable to me. I think it must be her over-aggressive nature which is far worse than any of the males in the book. Jarel, again, so great to read about!
I received the book in exchange for an honest review. This third book in the Dragon Hunters is filled with even more action, laughs and total enjoyment than the 1st 2 books combined. As the primordial Dragon God and his decendants team up with the Olympians in order to fight off the Titan god Cronus and his aid Lucifer to become the ruling gods, they face betrayals, heartaches, and finding love and friendships. And in the middle of all this, Ares must try to keep his pregnant wife out of battle. This book has left me waiting for the next book in this epic war of gods. Contains adult situations, not for young readers.
I truly battled to really get into this book. Although well written and executed my knowledge of mythology kept interrupting, and maybe that is just me. I would have liked a preface to the set up of the mythological realms as well as why there seems to be a difference between soul mates and mates with which to procreate. The lofty language of the gods was at times interrupted by the use of modern day language (Baby daddy)which kind of diminished their status somewhat. The action scenes, I found lacking in vigour. Characters were one dimensional and I never truly got to see the anguish at a basic emotional level. However that being said it was an enjoyable read.
Good reads R2R I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. This was a great read...... I loved the relationship between Phil and Brandon I could feel the heat between the two. The battle between the Gods was amazing it was like watching a room full of hotness testing their strength against the other gods. Odele is the goddess of healing and will do anything to get her brother back.
This is a keeper I loved it from beginning to the end. Drako you have pickup a fan with this one :)
