High-speed car chases, hiding out in overgrown bushes, nabbing the bad guy—all in a days work for Julianne aka Jules St. James. Sure growing up with a bounty hunter for a father was a little unorthodox, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, how many sixteen-year-old girls can take a man down with her bare hands, fire an assault rifle, or become a chameleon by using fake identities to nab bail jumpers? On her father’s Texas ranch, she’s just one of the guys with her older, twin brothers, Remington and Colt.
So when Jules’s father insists she spend the summer with her absentee mother—a former Savannah debutant and current member of high society, she is more than a little pissed off. Jules has had little use for her mother since she blew out of town six years ago to trade garden parties and black tie affairs for being a bounty hunter’s wife. A summer in Savannah with Mommie Dearest means having refinement and culture shoved down her throat while styling the latest haute couture fashion.
But Jules’s father has another reason behind sending her to Savannah. The society family of Emmett Marshall, a white-collar bail jumper resides there. The mission is for Jules to get close to Marshall’s teenage son, Jackson, thus trying to unravel any clues about his father’s whereabouts. Locating Marshall could mean a hefty payoff —enough for Jules’s freshman year of college.
Since she's better at taking down a guy than hooking up with one, Jules feels like she's in over her head. Enter Wyatt Deluca. Working for Jules’s bounty hunting cousin, Wyatt's suave services are enlisted to help her reel Jackson in. The tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boy is a 180 from sweet, cultured Jackson, but the more that Jules hangs around with Wyatt, the more confused she is about her true feelings and her ability to do her job.

Although she is a life-long Georgia peach, she loves traveling the country and world meeting readers. Most days, you can find her being a hermit, styling leggings, and binging on Netflix whenever her toddler daughter isn't monopolizing the TV with Paw Patrol or Frozen.
Jules: She is a 16 yo Texas girl following in her family's footsteps on the apprehension team for her father's Bounty Hunter business. She is smart, sneaky, fun, feisty and not good at being flirty. She is not afraid to go after a bail jumper, but falls apart at the idea of going out with a guy. She considers herself relationship deficient.
"I can't believe the girl who takes down tattooed felons with her bare hands is worried about a measly little high school party."
Jules is sent to her estranged mother in Georgia while her Dad and brothers are working another case. She is forced to be introduced to high society there under duress. But she also has another mission working with her Dad's cousin on some of his bounty hunter business and getting intel on a white collar criminal for her Dad. So while in Georgia she is basically living two lives: High society with her Mom and Aunts...and Down and dirty with the bounty hunter business.
Turns out the son of the white collar criminal she is supposed to find info on is not only her new hot, young neighbor, but also her nasty cousin Brynn's boyfriend, Jackson. So Jules has her work cut out for her.
"I have absolutely no game, and Brynn is a master player. She's the goddess that always looks perfect...Trust me. She's Tiffany's, and I'm Target."
Jackson is seemingly perfect. He is handsome, sweet, caring, and honest. But he has been shunned by society due to his father's actions.
While working with the bounty hunter team, she also meets Wyatt. He's a cocky bad boy with a motorcycle and tongue piercing, but also has a soft heart. He starts to help Jules in her investigation and sparks begin to fly with them too.
So you have Jules in the middle of family drama, high society functions, 2 cute boys, criminals on the loose, secrets, lies and danger. Jules has to decide where her loyalty lies. Does she stay true to her family or help Jackson? Does she choose the boy who seems perfect or the one that might be perfect for her? Or will it all just blow up in her face?
This book also had some great supporting characters from her twin brothers Colt and Remy and her Aunt Vivian adding some comic relief. And Jules herself is fun and always getting into crazy situations.
A really cute, fast paced,YA read from Krista Ashe aka Katie Ashley in the adult novel world.
Thanks to Krista Ashe for providing me with an ARC for my honest review Release date 12/21/12
Krista Ashe aka Katie Ashley's foray in to the YA world really worked for me. I agree with Kim, this book was cute and a quick read. I loved the characters, especially Wyatt. I am a sucker for boys with piercings! While I enjoyed the read I would definitely say this book is geared more towards teens than young adults. The first half of the book moved a little slow as you get to know the characters, but picks up quickly and is filled with witty dialogue and action. The chemistry between the characters is right on par with those normal teenage years. Krista did a great job of not blowing up the intensity and keeping it real. It was believable and easy to relate too. Great characters, fun story line, and just enough drama to hold your interest.
Jules was a kick ass 16 year old girl, who helps her dad and twin brothers track down bail jumpers. While on an assignment for her dad Jules must learn to make nice with her estranged mama and her mama's rich societal world. She was your typical teenage girl, her life was filled with drama and boys!
She was so clueless when it came to boys, girl could take down a harden criminal but became all flustered around a boy. Which made the story fun to read because she not only had one boy interested in her but two. Jackson's father Emmett is her assignment but in order to close in on him she must get close to Jackson for the info. He is hot, he is rich, and he belongs to her horrid cousin Brynn. Wyatt was Jule's side kick. At first sight he was a bad boy with a piercing but underneath it all he was actually a total sweetheart with the hots for our heroine. Who does she chose the quirky bad boy with the piercing and motorcycle or the sweet down to earth rich boy who has a felon for a father?
One of my favorite parts of the story was when Jules went on a "date",wired, with Jackson. I think this may of been when I feel in love with Wyatt's character, wait who am I lying too I fell for his character the minute I read his tongue was pierced..:) Anyway, Wyatt (who knows what every guy wants from a girl) helps Jules navigate through her date. I loved the chemistry between Jules and Wyatt. They had a fun witty relationship that kept you entertained. I also adored sweet down to earth Jackson, together they were cute with their fumbling words and blushes. I must admit though that I was rooting majorly for Wyatt.
What do you get when you have a teenage girl in the mix of family problems, love, and danger? Secrets are revealed, relationships are mended and built, a whole lot of attitude, action, crushing on boys and fun! Definite must read for those teen girls in your life!
Hint for Krista, I truly hope you make this a series as I would love to follow along on Jules adventures!
Thanks to Krista Ashe for providing me with an ARC for my honest review.
This was such a fun read! Jules (Julianne) St. Claire is full of sass, whit and a whole lot of comic relief!
Working on her father's Apprehension Team in Texas, Jules is ready to take down the bad guys one at a time. Working alongside her twin brothers presents its own family dynamics. Ready for the big job, her dad is offered a chance to track down a million dollar skip in Florida. However, he tells Jules that it will be too dangerous and instead asks for her help with another case in Savannah GA. Jules realizes that in order to help her dad, she is going to have to stay with her mother whom she has not spoken to in a couple of years.
Jules mother comes from a socialite family ingrained in the Deep South. When Jules arrives to stay with her mother and work the case, their relationship is immediately strained with the difference in their lives. Her mother’s family (Aunt and Sister) call her Julianne and expect her to dress and act the part of a socialite. As luck would have it, one of the first people that Jules meets is Jackson, the exact person she is suppose to get close to in order to try and find out the location of his dad, the man that Jules father is seeking. Jackson’s father is on the run after embezzling money. Also, Jules ends up getting help from Wyatt, the son of her cousin Raye’s fiancé. Wyatt’s sexy, southern and doesn’t dance around Jules telling her what she wants to hear.
Jules the bounty hunter takes you through the twists and turns of tracking the bad guy, making it through the garden parties and dealing with the dynamics of the teenage/parent relationship. Imagine Stephanie Plum as a teenager and you get a little of Jules. What I liked most about this book is that it can be a great read for a tween or an adult. I can see this becoming an amazing series following the many adventures of Jules as she comes of age. Great job!

I really enjoyed reading this book and changing up my normal reading for a smart sassy girl who can take a guy out with one hit of her hand.
Jules works on her father's Apprehension Team in Texas, she works alongside her twin brothers taking out the bad guys one hit at a time. Her father asks her to help work on a case in Savannah with his cousin Raye while him and the boys track down a million dollar jumper. Jules isn't very thrilled about missing out helping take down a big jumper but she's less that happy that while she is in Savannah helping Raye she will also have to stay with the mother that left them a few years ago.
Jules mother is everything you hear about Deep South women, the clothing, the parties and being the part of a socialite. This is a complete 180 from the life Jules has back in Texas so of course their relationship in the begin is strained. Jules concentrates on getting information on the jumper she is supposed to be helping catch. She runs into Jackson the very person she needs to get close to so she can find out where his father, the jumper, is hiding. Only problem is he's dating her cousin Bryn, one stuck up spoiled rich girl.
While helping out at Rayes office she starts helping and getting help from the all sexy southern gentleman Wyatt, who is Rayes fiance's son. They have some serious chemistry and it's so good to read how it progresses between them.
This book will take you on the many twists and turns of tracking the jumpers, dealing with parent relationships and also finding out about feelings for the one you care about and making a relationship work.
I hope Krista Ashe (aka Katie Ashely) will turn this book into a series because I would love to read more about all the characters in this book :) Such a good read for a teen and an adult.

Jules, the Bounty Hunter is author Krista Ashe's debut novel into the world of YA fiction and boy did she hit it out of the park! It's centered around the adventures of 16 year old Julianne St. James as she joins her father and two brothers in the family business of bounty hunting. Jules is smart, feisty and pretty bad ass in my opinion! I wish I had been more like Jules at 16! Anyway, I will say it again I love how Krista Ashe, or Katie Ashley (her pen name for The Proposition), writes her female characters. They are always strong yet down-to-earth and relatable. This was a fun read that I would totally recommend to even a teenage audience. It ended slightly abruptly which I'm hoping means we will see more to come from Jules. I think it would be a great start to a fun series.
Also have to add that Krista Ashe references one of my all time favorite movies in the book which made me smile and made Jules even cooler!
I adore Katie Ashley novels so when I found out she write's under a pen name (Krista Ashe) for YA novels I had to read Jules And The Bounty Hunter and boy did I enjoy it. Jules is a great character and its official Wyatt is my first book boy love of 2013. Would have been 5 stars if it had had a epilogue but who knows a 2nd book maybe??? If yes I'm in with reading more about these characters.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I love Katie Ashley's writing style so I gave it a shot. I absolutely loved it! It was a fun, quick read, filled with hilarious moments and a quirky, eclectic bunch of characters! I absolutely adored Jules she was a spitfire who never took no for an answer! She, Wyatt, Jackson and her crazy family made this story so entertaining and with Katie's unique storytelling this was a perfect , lighthearted read!! I highly recommend this book!
I wasn't satisfied with Katie Ashley's The Proposition. But when I got to read her Search Me, I began to get this "trust" feeling that her other books would be better than The Proposition. And, thank Heavens, I wasn't wrong! This! This was just... thrilling and captivating! I really liked every page of this book. This book got action, drama and romance. A deadly combination but Katie Ashley/Krista Ashe wrote it well!
Katie Ashley's Jules, the Bounty Hunter was a really good book to start the year!
THE CHARACTERS:Jules was a kick-ass heroine! I loved her, really loved her! She was not annoying or not the typical easy-to-swoon character. She was the I-will-kill-you-if-you-lay-your-hands-on-me type. And she was not trying hard to be beautiful. She was naturally lovely! Wyatt was a funny and bad-boy type character. The one wherein he got a soft spot inside. I really liked how he wasn't showing Jules he liked her. It was a really nice change. Jackson was the neat and nice type. He was likeable and got charm. Felt sorry for him for just how blind he was toward Bryn (the Regina George character type).
THE BOOK: The storyline was amazing and exciting! The conflict could be considered heavy. The series of events was smooth-paced and it went from funny and light to action and heated scenes. The writing style of Katie Ashley was smart, really hilarious and very easy to read and get along with!
WHAT I REALLY LIKED: - Every character in this book. Well, except Bryn. - Yes, there was a love triangle. But I really liked how it was controlled. It was not annoying unlike the other books. - This book got lots of action. I loved it! - A very unusual book. Thank Heavens for this was a really good cut from the strings of bad novels! - The book also tackled family problems. It was really amazing. - Almost the entire book.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: - - A few scenes were quite predictable. - The last line of the book was like a cliffhanger!
Overall, I really liked this one! I am recommending this one (as it is worth recommending). :)
Jules, The Bounty Hunter by Krista Ashe was an excellent YA mystery romance. If you enjoy strong, spunky Heroines, you will adore Jules! She was a gutsy, witty and tough 16 year old, recently added to her father's Bounty Hunter group, trying to find her feet in the world. Armed with two elder, typically mocking yet loving twin brothers, a father who both encouraged and equipped her, Jules faced the world with strength and purpose. Her only weakness - the understandable animosity she felt towards her estranged mother.
The story is well written with lots of humor, sufficient bad guys to keep Jules busy, and two (yes two) teenage heartthrobs for Jules to test the dating waters with. Sigh! Secrets from her family's past were resurrected leaving Jules torn in how she should move forward. With forgiveness and understanding of with her continued stance of disdain.
If you love the YA genre, especially whe the heroine gets to (literally) kick butt, you enjoy thus brilliant new novel by accomplished YA Author Krista Ashe. Having read Jules, the Bounty Hunter, I now know, that when I need a YA fix, it's to Krista's large collection of books, I shall head.
This was an interesting book because there has been a run on teen romance books. Most are about the heroine being vulnerable and weak waiting for the strong alpha male to rescue her. This was totally different and it was awesome.
So Jules is a 16 year old girl who is training with her dad to become a bounty hunter. I thought it was pretty much bad a$$. I liked the character because many teenagers are vulnerable however it showed just how confident she really was.
The guys were another story and the difference between them was cool. I thought it was going to be a triangle. Instead it just proved how diverse this author is with the underlining plots.
Overall more teenagers should read this and everyone else needs to take this as a guide. Just because a teenager is a kid doesn't mean they are not adult enough.
I absolutely loved this book. It was just what I needed to end my two week book funk that I was in. If you are in between books or looking for something fresh - Jules is definitely it. This is a really quick, light read. Jules works with her dad who is a bounty hunter. He sends her to spend some time with her mom in Georgia, but also gives her the task of finding out information on a fugitive. Throw in cute boys, a mean cousin, high end society, and a kick ass Jules and this book is like nothing I've ever read. I was smiling, laughing, and loving the action. There's just enough romance and swoon worthy moments to make this book have everything. I swear Katie Ashley can write anything and it is a guarantee home run.
4 stars and if I was a YA it would be much higher. Jules is a 16 year old badass girl and a bounty hunter! With her dad and 2 older brothers she is a team. But when the men go to Florida for a special assignment Jules is shipped off to her mom. Her mom has left them several years ago and is a society belle. But her dad does have a special assignment for Jules and it brings her all kinds of trouble as she is involved with her heart for the first time. She befriends a boy whose father she is after and there is also Wyatt, who works for her uncle.
Totally cool story about a badass Texan girl. I loved it despite it being for YA and wished there had been more story, like an epilogue.
Ok! First let me say I absolutely loved this book. It reminded me of the Miley Cyrus movie 'so undercover'. I had like, a girl moment throughout the whole book. AMAZEBALLS! <3
One thing I didnt like was the whole Jules mother storyline, I wanted to literally kill her she was so annoying, which kind of ruined it because the whole mother act was a bit over the top. I would recommend because its one of those books that has action romance and a kick ass girl involved. Not your soppy victim but a girl who gives aswell as she gets.
Loved the plot and the potential of the book, all the characters were perfect in their role a (even the ones I didn't like), except Jules. I have major problems with Jules. She's annoying, hypocritical and your typical stupid and stubborn teenage girl. Her antics almost made me stop reading, but because I have never not finished a book I just skimmed over the parts where she annoyed me. Just for once, can the books where the female lead is really strong and smart and intuitive also not result in her having no life experience therefore making me want to rip my hair out? Kay? Thanks.
I a a total fanatic in all things Katie Ashley so I was not let down with this one. It is a funny and sweet story of a very spunky Jules who works with her dad and brothers as Bounty Hunters. Katie writes some really funny stuff in this one and I love how her leading ladies are strong and independent. I would love to read more of Jules and Wyatt. 5 very shiny stars to this book and a big YeeHaw to Katie Ashley for another wonderfully written book.
It's really one of the best books out there. I was really happy with how everything turned out and really it was an amazing plot. Highly recommended to everyone, I laughed out load a couple of times. READ THIS BOOK!
I was lucky enough to read a lot of Jules during an earlier version and the finished product did not let me down! It was a sassy, fun and wild ride. A great read!
I really enjoyed this book. Although I feel the ending was a little rushed and I would have liked to have seen jules and wyatts relationship develop a little bit more :)
