I guess I was hoping for something more logical and factually informative. Half of the information in this book was either common knowledge or ridiculously over-the-top (does a 3-cat home really need FOUR OR MORE litter boxes cleaned twice daily EACH?)... and the other half was shameless self promotion. Links to every product review the author has ever done, videos of her cats, videos of her family's cats... even a review for what litter scoop to use! Eesh. At least it was a short read.

It is a well organized text book designed for the first time rag doll owner. I found it helpful. Particular in the 'preparing for the kitten to arrive' suggestions. It could have been more comprehensive; as it was I purchased two books by different authors and found enough different topics nuances, options and worthwhile anecdotes to give value to both. They could have been combined. One topic not covered well was bathing, another was how to keep the pet from outdoor yearning. Calling them "indoor cats" doesn't mean that being indoors is a rag doll preference; it is simply for their safety that keeping them indoors is recommended. How to adjust this breed to collars and walking harnesses; plus when to start is another topic that could have had detail. Good but could have been better. Worthy of the price, I would say.

good if you have never had a cat

Didn’t seem much different than caring for any type of cat. I’ve had cats all my life so not much new except some of the recommended items for cat, but none of the links worked which was annoying. But love the website. And Ragdolls. Just letting you know so you can fix the links.

Started out with some reasonably useful advice about the specific breed and then became almost entirely product recommendations and links to their blog. A lot of the advice is simple common sense if you’ve owned cats before.

Good overview for a new kitten owner

A quick read, covering the essentials of cat ownership. A lot would be considered commonplace advice but very useful for a household getting their first ragdoll.

A little too much advertising for products, but useful with a checklist at the end.

I liked this book because not only was it helpful with my Ragdoll, but the suggestions helped a friend with her calico cat, and some behavior issues she was having. I liked this book a lot
